I'd have to check the stats, but I think the numbers of drawn Tests are down across the board over the last few years, not just involving England. A large part of that has to be down to the increased amounts of white ball cricket, players have found new and inventive ways to score more quickly so the scoring rate has gone up, but they don't have the technique and mindset to occupy the crease for long periods of time.

In all seriousness, I was fully expecting the game would be done or nearly done by the time I woke up earlier, so it's good to see a bit of fight. Realistically we'd need to bat all day tomorrow as well to have a chance of getting out with even a draw, but it's something to build on even if we still end up losing.

The theatre that my Dad volunteers at introduced it off their own back about a month ago. Their policy is to spot check 1 in every 20 guests (capacity is 800ish), and people who are selected and unable to show proof are able to take a LFT at the venue to gain admission. Whether they increase it after tonight's announcement remains to be seen.

Yep. If you have a look at their forum you can see the penny slowly starting to drop for more and more of them. In barely 24 hours they've gone from talking about Lampard, Jokanovic, Hughton etc to realising that there's a very big chance that McGreal gets the job permanently.
