  1. Shocked that appointing the long-serving assistant didn't work for them... Looks tailor made for Cook.
  2. Yep. If you have a look at their forum you can see the penny slowly starting to drop for more and more of them. In barely 24 hours they've gone from talking about Lampard, Jokanovic, Hughton etc to realising that there's a very big chance that McGreal gets the job permanently.
  3. I'm fairly sure that in a couple of the seasons under LJ where we were hovering just below the playoffs, our form against the middle teams was excellent but the form against the very top and bottom was awful.
  4. I notice Rochdale had Liam Kelly (the ex-Reading and Feyenoord one, not our one) lining up for them. Always liked him as a player.
  5. Same here. Some things are bigger than football.
  6. Either a big team at home or something winnable. Worst case scenario would be away to one of the better teams in our league or the bottom end of the PL - nothing to get excited over and we probably lose.
  7. They're only playing today because Brentford, Man Utd and Spurs all played Thursday night. Would have been at 3pm Saturday otherwise.
  8. It's what happens when people spend the time leading up to the game saying that we're rubbish and will lose (see the first couple of pages of the matchday thread as an example). When they're proved wrong they can't just accept it so have to find something, anything, to cling to.
  9. I have no inside knowledge at all, but none of that surprises me in the slightest. Cook is better off out of it.
  10. They've done exactly what they did when England were there earlier in the winter. Didn't win the first Test so they ensure there'll be no repeat by preparing dustbowls that last 3 days for the rest of the series.
  11. We were on top after half time then their second try came out of nothing and completely shifted the balance of the game. Still too many errors but at least players are starting to return.
  12. I'm sure he'd rather not be injured and playing every week.
  13. The stream quality is an improvement on their own efforts last year.
  14. Wales are at home in the Six Nations on the Saturday. It might be 40 miles away from Swansea but the police don't like these things clashing.
  15. And that would also go a long way to explaining any bitterness, given who was involved.
  16. See Joe Williams as an example. Last summer there will have been fans of other Championship clubs thinking that's a cracking signing and that they would have liked him at their club, yet injuries mean we've barely seen him.
