  1. I think there are a few who were surplus to requirements at Ipswich under the new regime who've pitched up at Colchester.
  2. Bonfire Fortnight, as it seems to be known around here.
  3. Like me, you may have noticed that Michael Vaughan has been conspicuous by his total silence on this subject so far, given that he's not usually shy of voicing his opinion on literally everything. It all becomes clear... https://www.telegraph.co.uk/cricket/2021/11/04/michael-vaughan-named-azeem-rafiq-report-totally-deny-accusation/
  4. That's exactly what it is, and there are a few who are guilty of it. They can try and dress it up as constructive criticism and long-winded analysis all they want, but the mask always slips.
  5. Agreed, and that's why he wasn't named in the initial report on Cricinfo the other day. I don't think this gets to the stage we're at now if it was a few comments by one player.
  6. Not playing for Bristol City, because we'd be in League 1 having suffered relegation due to a significant points deduction for breaching FFP.
  7. Yes, I know he did, I said as much in my post. My point is that you and others talk as if he pulls it out in every interview and use it as a stick to beat him with when he's done nothing of the sort.
  8. Good luck with getting an answer to that. Still waiting for them to elaborate on what Kalas's opinion of him is.
  9. He's done that no more than twice, you talk as if he does it in every single interview. I get that you don't like him and would rather he wasn't here, but you'd be taken far more seriously if you didn't make things up to suit your agenda.
  10. Have a day off you boring ****.
  11. I notice there were only 2 replies to his original tweet, which suggests that people don't see it as anywhere near as much of an issue as is being claimed.
  12. Depends whether they consider the left-arm option or express pace to be more important. If it's the latter they'll pick Mark Wood.
  13. Was on to a loser from the start given that it was very obvious that he was nowhere near first choice for the job. Far bigger problems at that club than the manager.
  14. Clearly the infamy of being the team to end our winless run at home was too much to bear.
  15. Yep. We've seen other young players dragged off early when they've been struggling (Bakinson, Scott) and then not start for a little while afterwards. That Tanner was considered ready to start the next game suggests that he's reacted to it in the right way during the week. That'll serve him well going forward.
  16. Do you like anything about the club?
  17. He's not the only one. Always the way.
  18. The irony is that if he'd stayed on the bench and we'd not won, someone was bound to have started a thread asking why he wasn't brought on.
  19. Yep. Gregor could be Pulitzer Prize-winning standard (I know he isn't, before anyone starts) and he'd still be hamstrung by the model that his bosses insist on following. Good luck to him.
  20. We've played much better than that in most of the games we haven't won, but the run was probably always going to end like this. The number of points we've chucked away at the death meant that it was only natural that we'd be hanging on to try and see it out. A lot of it is played in the mind, and they'll be so much better for having got that monkey off their backs. Have to kick on from here.
