    As if to prove the point, it was Neil Harris who had him playing by far his best football at Cardiff. Warnock couldn't get him going and it sounds like McCarthy has barely tried to.

    He can't sign for anyone until January. He could start training with a club now so he's fit (stop sniggering at the back) in time to sign a contract when the window opens. Will almost certainly have to lower his wage demands wherever he goes.

    Just watching BT's Serie A coverage and they showed Milan Djuric scoring the winner for Salernitana against Genoa yesterday.

    From memory Szmodics looked quite useful in preseason, only for LJ to declare that he wasn't ready for the Championship and then Palmer arrived, which meant that he barely featured.
