  1. You have written almost word for word what I was going to post, especially the baby and the bath water. Tanner was almost subbed wasn't he, made the decision before the physio was allowed on, then suddenly changed. After that it went a bit pear shaped until the mass substitutions, when has Pearson ever done that?! Saying that the players that played today, all of them, didn't deserve that result if we are rewarded by effort. I feel more gutted than I did after leaving Leicester a week ago.
  2. Interesting, thank you for the info.
  3. He looks a beast, what do we know about him?
  4. Yes very much so. We don't have any 'superstars' but a team who will work for eachother which is all you can ask. I think we are all very aware of the restrictions Pearson has had to work under since he arrived. I would like to see how he fares with a bit less restraint though, let the real Nigel emerge and trust him and his team.
  5. Very impressed by the stadium, my first visit. Great shop, stuff for kids to do etc. We are good but this is another level.
  6. Yes, I was just going to post Bolasie too. Love an on the edge tackle, but it's certainly heart in the mouth stuff.
  7. I haven't read the article so it might say in there, but I believe he still lives in these parts. My son has seen him out loads of times out and about in town etc. Too often for him just to be visiting.
  8. Take That return at the end of the season. Just read on Twitter or whatever it's called now.
  9. Those were my thoughts too. Been checking since after the match last night and just got back on now?
  10. No. Mates first, then came the jobs. I have no idea if one in particular is brilliant or not at his job, but he has had various roles over the years, and it is years and years. It is very different from working for a company where you are colleagues and become friends through work. AG/BS is full of friends and people related to eachother.
  11. This is true for sure. Not only are most clubs well into their work for January but already having next Summer in mind too. It's like the shops and Xmas, always at least one season ahead!
  12. Or the role not good enough for him? Not what he thought it was?
  13. I would say the exact opposite IF the departing CEO has departed on bad terms.
  14. That's what I noticed. They ALWAYS say that don't they. Sometimes its what is not said is more meaningful. will be interesting to see where his next role is too.
  15. Mentions Pearson and Tinnion which is a bit odd. Not any other staff. I know he can't list them all but why those two?
  16. Official statement released, from official site Phil Alexander has stepped down from his role as Bristol City Chief Executive Officer. Bristol City Chairman Jon Lansdown said: “On behalf of the Board I’d like to thank Phil for his contribution to the club, which included overseeing the end of the January transfer window and managing the recent summer window, and we wish him well for the future.” Phil Alexander said: “I’ve really enjoyed my time with Bristol City and the opportunity to be its CEO. The team is in safe hands under the leadership of Nigel Pearson and Brian Tinnion and I look forward to watching the progress over the coming season.”
  17. Fully agree with this. We didn't actually kick off until about 3.02 as the Lisa Fillingham tribute (which was beautifully done) started late then over ran. I thought the ref only added 2 mins to not let the game run too late. But yes he let a lot of tackles go and didn't stop the game unneccessarily.
  18. Believe this will all go ahead as planned. There is never Police at rugby anyway.
  19. No it isn't. I have never seen a shirt that was just printed straight onto the material. There is always some embossing, embroidery or rubberised lettering stuck on. We have had flock (suede like material) and plastic shiny detailing in the past. We have had flag detailing, holographic detailing etc. All these are extra security details making it hard to replicate so harder to fake. We now have a shirt so easy to copy that the club must to losing money, but that's down to them.
  20. That's not good. I have the purple/pink version of this and mine is good still, but to be fair I have worn it very rarely.
  21. Fair point. I guess the only way you are going to lose lettering on an O'Neills shirt is if you rip a hole in it as its printed directly onto the material, which in my opinion is what makes it look cheap/fake.
  22. Your idea about quality is different to mine. I think this is poor
  23. I'm not a brand snob at all, I will wear primark if I like it enough and it doesn't look cheap ?. But regarding football shirts I always go into the club shop at away grounds. I couldn't go into Swansea's shop due to security this time but one of the nicest shirts, training gear etc was theirs over the past few years. Looks nice, feels, nice and reasonably priced. Made by Joma. Is that a brand good enough to be snobby about, I don't know? I think O'Neills have the potential to get it right, it is their business afterall. I really feel though that their hands have been tied by the club, possibly under pressure to produce something as cheaply as possible and too many corners have been cut.
