  1. JL just arrived at the Flyers game. Nothing happening this afternoon . I heard yesterday. Done deal, announced tomorrow. Not Lampard, and Flemming going.
  2. No, nor is he going to be.
  3. If only. He wasn't even at the match today. Not that this is unusual btw.
  4. But then Cornick was subbed on which started his song up and the Pearson one stopped.
  5. He was. In a bright red coat and a city scarf (so hardly trying to go unnoticed) in his Dad's box. Flanked by Lisa Knights and Mark Kelly amongst others.
  6. Obviously every team is going to start the season with "yeah, we are going for promotion" vibes to sell tickets etc. For only three teams of course this is actually a possibility. Most fans are realistic to this and can kinda guess where their team might finish, but add in a bit of hope along the way. As already mentioned the relegated Premiership teams obviously are in with a strong shout. Then you get the promoted League one teams on an upward path, that's the one time we ever got near too wasn't it. I thought with the strength of Leicester, Leeds and yes Ipswich and a few others it was almost a done thing that it wouldn't be our season. Yes there is a long way to go but even the last playoff spot was most likely not ours this season. I had settled for Pearson fine tuning his squad, bringing on youngsters and getting some continuity back once the injured players return. If the bottom 3 from the Premiership are relegated as it stands today then playing Luton or Sheffield Utd look easier than playing Leeds and Leicester for example. I thought we were setting up for a real, positive shot at it NEXT season. I am totally shocked that it is very much this season's aim.
  7. Yup, I put the sad/crying emoji in response as that's how I feel. Utterly emotional and sad.
  8. I think details of who we actually had to play in that Cardiff match should be noted and added to the numbered points above. At the end of the season when this is reviewed, after all it's Promotion or bust, we might just forget how little Pearson was forced to work with.
  9. OK, its only from Wikipedia but this possible quote rules Parker out for me. Following the Liverpool match, Parker expressed his frustrations with the club's transfer policy, stating they were currently "unequipped" for the Premier League. If Bournemouth were "unequipped" then what are we!
  10. That, and he has most probably been gagged in some form too. I hope he is sat back with his popcorn watching how this will pan out.
  11. If the club and Nigel had given a statement saying that with regret Nigel was stepping down due to personal or health reasons, and a genuine 'thank you, we wish you well' type statement from the club, things would look so different. Same outcome but different feel altogether. We've even had a departing press conference when Gary left FFS! The happenings over the past few days have been nothing like that.
  12. No, only new users until they have made a certain number of posts, or those on mod preview which is quite rare. We couldn't possibly read and approve every post ( no would we want to) and the forum wouldn't read at all well with the delay it would need.
  13. Think of me, I approved this post around 6am this morning as I was rushing around getting ready for work. I usually read through every post waiting for approval, but this time I got part way in and thought "sod it, I will just hit the button and cross my fingers it's not full of expletives further down"
  14. I wouldn't give it too much thought. Slightly different but as a young child one of my Irish relatives was told she would meet her death by water by a respected Romany Gypsy. This put the fear of God into both mother and daughter by all accounts. She found it hard to be near water, anything from a stream to the sea. She wouldn't cross over bridges if she could help it, boiled everything before she drank it. I was told it really impacted the family. She actually died from a Kidney infection, so yes a water infection, well into her 80's. Don't dwell on your experience too much.
  15. He's got to feel pretty unsettled at the moment too though. Depending on who comes in he could be next out of the door. As for how do the Board recover from this, they made the mess and they have to sort it. Still feels wrong and unnecessary to me.

    The response!

He's sat next to Lisa Knights at the Flyers (basketball) match right now.
  17. I've got a horrible feeling...
  18. I remember way back when Tinnion was manager and under a lot of pressure going into THAT Swansea game. He was being interviewed on Radio Bristol most probably by 20Man on the Friday night. I remember at the time he had the same 3 sentences that he was using over and over again, Mantra-like. Something like "I'm working hard. I believe I can do it. I will get this right" It was almost as if he said it enough times it will become true fact. This, and the JL interview, feels the same.

    The Return

Would he be anymore agreeable than Pearson though? He's experienced and wont like any 'guidance'. This is going to be a sticking point for any candidate I believe.
  20. RedM

    He’s gone.

Yes, but he's been gone too long
