  1. Peak Les Kew vibes.. ”Today’s attendance is 13,208, BOO..” ”Today’s attendance is 14,823”…
  2. Their new owners “Premiership dream” is looking on track..
  3. Terrible & I believe Pulis offered him terms that alongside those of Steve Jones, were eye watering for League One.
  4. Overall he was abysmal, very few goals for a lot of wages & injured virtually all of his last season. Absolutely light years away from the signing of Wilbraham, who was brilliant.
  5. Sub 7000 fans, absolutely massive. Blue “half” of Bristol? Myth.
  6. 17 minute stoppage due to a serious injury to a Wycombe player.
  7. Usual Radio Bristol they consistently say they were unlucky, should have won. Face facts, they’re dogshit.
  8. Every day of the week. He was by far the best player I have seen play for us & I saw 7 years of Gerry Gow.
  9. Short version- the residents were right & their local politician friends were lying.
  10. Even better when Kodjia scores both in a 2-0 win..
  11. Don’t get it. Completely understand those who believe it was all a bit ridiculous that his last 2 one year contracts saw him make several late sub appearances in order to eventually get past Atyeo & that he probably should have been released a few years earlier. However he was an outstanding defender for us, key figure in the side that got far closer to the top flight than anyone else in 40 years plus & a local lad too. Would be in contention for my all time City 11 in my 50 years of supporting & that’s not something I say about too many after the AD era.
  12. Whatever we think of MK, their ground is so far ahead of the jumble sale collection of structures that passes for a football ground in North Bristol it is untrue.
  13. **** me, they are so tinpot. Ground that holds what? 10k? Have to reduce prices to £10 to get it 75% full. Pathetic club.
  14. Bloody excellent player. Could pretty much do it all as a defender, good reader of the game, decent in the air, brave, good on the ball. South Bristol bloke too, what’s not to like?
  15. Stuart Munro (a very decent defender Osman picked up on a free) lives in Australia now so was never coming back for something as tinpot as this. Pretty sure Rob Edwards still lives in Bristol (used to & might still have a job with one of Wales youth teams) so very odd that he didn’t make it. Junior was back (alongside the great Wayne Allison) not that long ago so as well as Martin Scott, those 3 are the more baffling ones. It looked pretty embarrassing when it was announced but by Saturday it resembled the Celebrity XI from the Porridge film, “I’ve just heard the Goodie can’t make it, but the ITV weatherman is still coming”..
  16. Hard to think the playoffs are remotely credible, we are 6 points adrift of Coventry (who as has been pointed out, are on an incredible run). Lose on Friday & effectively our season is pretty much over. It is a very tough run of fixtures including games against 2 sides with a ridiculous financial advantage. Our record against Coventry (lot of draws) & Boro is actually ok though.
  17. Think once Cisse got elevated to the first team pool with Manning bringing in Hogg & that other bloke whose name escapes me, then it was fairly likely. Think he’s known for a while that he wouldn’t be kept on this summer, be very interesting to see if anyone else who is rumoured to be in the same boat also goes next summer. Can’t see his early departure would exactly free up much room to add another so presumably we go with what we have & hope Sykes is back soon.
  18. What was interesting to me was Manning said pre match that Twine was best utilised centrally then played him largely on the left of a front three. It isn’t impossible that we could be out of the cup on Friday which would then mean every player is available for every game we have left, which would suggest that Manning will probably look at a settled formation. You mention Mehmeti, Roberts is another to come into the mix, Pring has been excellent but it is unreasonable to expect him to play 90 after 90 week in, week out. Certainly once the window has closed it will be instructive to see how we line up.

Not seen it mentioned but what a calm excellent piece of goalkeeping it was when he stopped a certain goal when we got caught 3 on 1 by a break. Plenty race to criticise him but he’s a steady keeper who won us a point yesterday.
  20. Spot on but the answer is one word Dziekanowski. I actually saw a poll on X (Twitter) yesterday saying who would you like to help City to the playoffs this season Cole or Dziekanowski & the Polish waster had more votes.. This absolute myth that someone who had about 6 good games for us, was a passenger when we didn’t have the ball & left us for an obscure German second division club was a “great” is frankly hilarious. Osman’s football was poor but as you point out, he had zero funds, getting rid of the bloke who stood around for 80 minutes of each game with his hands on his hips has cemented his reputation. As to the person who thinks it was better under Pulis, who was given far more money one division down to produce what he did, eff me.
  21. Nice to see Wayne Allison who should always be welcomed back but seeing as it was what? 7 players in total with no Martin Scott, Junior Bent, Liam Robinson, Stuart Munro, Rob Edwards or the incredibly scary Dave Martin it just seemed utterly pointless.

Went on loan to Forest Green in August, started 3 games came on sub in 3 more. By September they had stopped picking him & sent him back. Last season joined Swindon on loan started 5 games, came on a sub in 8 more. He’s not so much hit a wall as a whole bloody house, 2 League Two sides haven’t wanted to keep him on. He’s not by any means the only one but his time with us is up whether that’s this month or in the summer.
  23. For all of our players the passing angles were incredibly difficult to find today & he & Rob Dickie were having to try eye of a needle stuff at times. I can’t see us choosing to line up without him in the side either as his pace is invaluable.
  24. If anyone can get us to replicate the iconic 1976 Umbro home & away kits as worn by Norman Hunter, Gerry Gow & Tom Ritchie I’d be all for that. Class kit worn by all time greats.
  25. Probably because Meccano is trade marked.
