  1. Delighted it got him to 50 in the league too. Deserved that milestone.
  2. Plus their owner is dodgy as ****. Has he paid that loan back yet?
  3. Think that boat sailed a while ago, not been in a squad for a year.
  4. Maybe because he’s a fantastic professional? Hard working, versatile, unselfish. I can’t see him being a regular starter there myself (think they have players at AFCON, so useful squad option) but as others have pointed out the family home is near & I reckon Corberan probably knows more about football than you or me.
  5. As now being reported by Bristol Live joining West Brom for the rest of the season.
  6. In the bottom 7 for home attendances, do you seriously think they are a big club at our level? Same sort of size as Blackburn. It’s “misguided” by the way.
  7. They’re also spoiled by being at this level for so long with no danger of relegation. One of the smallest clubs at this level but their fans think they’re probable top six contenders.
  8. Always appeared the case if you listened to what their new owner said about the “development”. Said at the same time that the Thatchers end would be “safe standing” it is already standing, so genuinely no idea what that “improvement” will be there. Like the Meccano stand it is very close to housing, so their only real possibility of significant change was to demolish the East Stand and replicate a mini Lansdown stand but they clearly can’t afford to do that.

Sad news but let’s face it, he’s not going to be walking into the sunset with a load of regrets about what could have been, is he? Fair ******* play.
  10. I think they would sell him, but at their price, not ours. If we don’t come up with it, he stays at Hull. I cannot see why they would cancel the loan if we won’t pay what they want & if we do he’s here permanently, surely? That’s my confusion with your point. My hunch with TGH was the board were keeping things very tight financially for Pearson so he got £700k for the loan but no guarantee of anything else. Maybe we also needed convincing that he was worth £2m? Seems that the narrative of the budget being used up is no longer strictly the case.
  11. 1. He’s already on loan somewhere else. Why would Burnley recall him? 2. How could it be “a loan to buy” as we think the £5m fee being reported is far too much & clearly won’t pay it? We would only bring him here in those circumstances if like TGH, there is an agreed fee, which if it was the case would suggest a permanent deal could be done now, so no need for a loan.
  12. So was Finn Azaz’s at Plymouth.. As has been stated if Burnley want to sell then can recall him & then sell him to us. Exactly what they did when Nahki Wells was at QPR 4 years ago.
  13. “Get out” shouted at every bleeding corner we defend, too. Bet the coaching staff never thought of that, so don’t bother marking your designated man or closing down space, just run out like Forrest Gump & we’ll be contenders for Europe in no time.. Absolute plankton.
  14. Of course this is an opinion but it is not what I see. He certainly isn’t “sloppy”, on occasions he’s conservative with his passing but that’s because primarily he’s a defender rather than someone particularly comfortable going forward. He cost £300k from League Two, has seen off Danny Simpson & Kane Wilson & even if McCrorie gets fit & possibly dislodges him then he will still be a valuable squad player who has time to further improve.
  15. Nor “historically” or just the media, but everyone who views it remotely dispassionately.
  16. It all gets framed in a desperate attempt to give us & them “equal” treatment. Remember when they were a non league side but still got the same radio coverage? All part of the blue “half” of Bristol delusional horseshit that is spouted. This clown is the one who said last month something “special” is happening there. As you say, Pyongyang levels of propaganda.
  17. Don’t play again in the meanwhile though, unlike us.
  18. Yep, think they had to sack Barton first- he didn’t like the use of the word “trial” started him off on one of his social media rants. Anyway do you know anyone who wants a ticket? I have 10 to sell that I bought yesterday, £20, unless you’re a Rovers fan when they’re £50.
  19. Not like them at all to look like a shambolic bunch of amateurs, is it? Planning permission, anyone?
  20. I think I would be more inclined to believe that if Nige hadn’t brought him on as a sub 9 times. Some of those who have been on the bench but never got on might be in that category (Nelson, Araoye, Backwell) maybe, but can’t think he would be putting someone on the pitch that often if that was the case.
  21. No one is released until their contract is up. Think a few of these are free to go if they can get fixed up though.
  22. He has, but twice for Hull & once for Burnley, not MK.
  23. Couldn’t agree more. This would be our 4th highest fee paid, at a time when making top six would be a real stretch. Far more logical to spend in the summer when you don’t get pressured by the madness of the January window. Also it is surely worth us looking outside the UK to get better value when we do?
