Behave and wash your hands. We don't want to lose a single City fan older than yourself.

They’re just stopping very large gatherings.
That being said, some fans have the IQ of a ham sandwich

If the season does get cancelled, what will happen to bets placed on season long markets? I have some money on us getting promoted that I chucked on the day we signed Benik. Will there be a refund or would I be stuffed?
Check the terms and conditions of your public cheater

Travelling to Stockholm and Copenhagen 31St March, for a week, usual touristy stuff. Is there liable to be any kind of restrictions in place by then mate? @bristolcitysweden
Think Denmark have the same restriction as us (gatherings of 500 people or more is not allowed) and you will have to face it

Swedish season starting early April could be on hold as gatherings of 500 people or more is not allowed.

If people can get there eyes on more positive and developing interests than self destructive, boring, pedestrian games of football as a Saturday pleasure it's only a good thing

Very well put.
If one dies of Corona then 60 will die of flu... Those are the factual numbers. Not made up. So I suppose you could then argue never go out? Because if you do you are incredibly selfish. That seems to be your position.
No that's not the numbers. 0,001 dies from flue. 0,034 from this virus

I won’t be going to game tomorrow because of Coronavirus. I had invited my dad over to stay for the weekend with the plan of going to the game . He is in his 80’s with pre existing health conditions and wants to avoid crowds so we will be watching the game on Sky instead.
Sounds very wise. Your dad will be proud of you.

Almost as many cases in Sweden as here.
How are the authorities dealing with it differently there?
Trying to track people they have been involved with. People came back from the winter sports week last Monday. Some of them from northern Italy. Luckily for you there is only one Eddie The Eagle. Also refugees/economic immigrants from Iran returning back to Sweden from holiday. Still possible to track each single individuals contacts but very soon closing in to impossible.

A guess (mine and as good as anyones) is that 5 percent of the British population will get the virus and 3 percent will die. Still a great loss.
60 million people x 0,05 x 0,03= 90 000 people.
A full house Wembley could well die people.

An older patient with prior health problems. Very sad, but there will be more
I think the UK has done the right things so far, you can’t call this a failure on the NHS part if even if the worst case scenario of 80% of the population catching the virus happens. Very very difficult to contain and how far it spreads will now come down to the peoples actions rather than the governments.
Disagree. The Chinese authorities have done what is necessary. Up to you Johnson.

Most politicians are total muppetts

The Swiss currently don't allow any events possibly attracting more than 1,000 people. Is any other country in Europe within the foreseeable future willing to upper that figure possibly risking their governmental position? Not very likely.
-
No politician will ever risk here position being any worse than politicians abroad. We listen to muppett Johnson. The Swiss don't allow events attracting more than 1,000 people.
Although most of them are totally braindead not a single politician in Europe will go any higher risking their position.

Liverpool will be crowned champions and the European spots will be taken by the teams in that position once the season is cancelled but no team will be relegated from the PL and no team will be promoted from the Championship. All self evident. The same goes further down the fodder chain.

So with our luck, the season will be cancelled just as we climb to 6th in the Championship. As I can't see this virus being contained, I am not optimistic about the season continuing anyway.
Remember that if 2% of cases turn out to be fatal, maybe 1% of footballers could die too. That means an even chance of losing a squad member and maybe 400 of our fans. A truly horrible thought. At least the Sags will only lose 120.
I don't suppose they will be refunding our season ticket money either.
A virus could well get smarter though while politicians are destined for the other direction

Further up the east coast starting from Roots Hall

Tomorrow will be interesting . The season could be closed down in two weeks time https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-51708550
Very much doubt Scandinavian Branch will be allowed flights, train journeys, hotels, pubs etc. for Boro (a) Easter Monday.

Apparently the rugby was called off because an estimated 5000 Italians have booked flights and accommodation. Considering that insurance companies are not paying out for cancellations due to the virus, it seems a rather bizarre decision. Do they think those Italians will just stay at home? Of course they won't!
Not sure there are 5 000 selfish brain dead Italians

My guess is that the season will be cancelled within a fortnight. Next week will be crucial and I'm not very hopeful.
