  2. Yes and after 3 games in 1976/77 we were second in the old First Division - what a lost opportunity.

In fact weren't we top after 11 minutes of this season?

Not in name but think you will find one of his roles was to manage. If not the board sacked the wrong man.

Wouldn't agree or disagree with any of that none of it is any part of my point. It's just your opinion and at least you haven't resorted as many others have, of hammering OUR manager with counter productive personal insults.

You may have a point there!

  3. No, he was asked which English coaches he admired.

There is a difference, and SOD may well be a good coach, but demonstrated that for us he was not a good manager.

It should also be said that earlier in the interview Rogers also mentioned Harry Redknapp as somebody he greatly admired as a manager.

    He wasn't manager.

  4. So why hasn't this unbelievably gifted manager walked into another job then, but instead being touted for the Shrewsbury job which he didn't even get??

Brendan Rogders didn't have to watch SODS football for 8 months, or listen to his dire, depressing interviews..

    Nor did you.

  5. cotterill is on His side, not ours, he manipulated his way into the job through his (( alleged : friendship with our anonymous chairman, of the many awful decisions made by our awful board this will go down in bcfc history as one of the worse, I repeat cotterill is on no bodys side but his own ! awful manager + a embarassment havin g him representing my

I tend to agree. I think the bloke has an over inflated opinion of his abilities, although I cant work out why!

  6. Cheer up :-) what's the worst that can happen we get relegated have to play in a league where our youngsters get a season or two of playing and growing into a team? That's the worst assuming the senior pros have relegation clauses and get to take a pay check for failure.

The best is we start again next season in this league with a clean slate. That's assuming we don't string together a run to the playoffs

But our youngsters wont be allowed a season or two will they, we'll be in the relegation zone, a different manager will be appointed and a new bunch of journeymen will be imported, as experience will be needed to haul us out of trouble........................oh wait a minute................

  7.

I would be interested to know what Cotts has brought to the party over and above SO'd? Serious question to the Board.

    Didn't you know?

"Cotts" doesn't sniff in interviews and he's able to talk the same bollocks that most managers talk and he's not miserable. A very sensible criteria for appointing a manager apparently, don't you think?

  8. Just what I feared, its early days, and I really hope to be proved 100% wrong.......but Cotterill talks a good game, and likes to blather on, but he really is not the long term solution, and is the wrong manager to have been given a long term contract..........feel free to shoot me down

Surely you're not questioning the boards decision making?

  9. Yes.

Sheffield Utd home to me was the lowest point reached in years in terms of football, atmosphere, result , everything.

Took my brother to Watford home and he hasn't been for ages (on account of serving in the Israeli Army!) and he noted the first 20 mins he saw better passing and football from City than he saw in any game under the last guy.

Strange Cotterill came with a reputation of hoofball. O'Driscoll came with a passing football reputation and it's Cotts who has actually brought the exciting football while the other guy brought shite.

I'm thrilled with a point today given where we were.

Errrrr, that'll be because he hasn't been for ages, wouldn't it? How could he have seen what the last guy was producing?
