Bristol Rovers are happy to announce that the club’s new pitchside big screen will be installed and operational in time for the club’s home game against Bradford City on Saturday, April 13th.
The club purchased the new 30sqm screen in July last year from Stadia Solutions, a leading international sports and entertainment agency that specialises in fully managed technology and media platforms, with the aim of having the screen installed next to the Brunel sponsored South Stand by the end of 2018.
Although the screen was delivered on time in October, due to its size a special bespoke support structure was required to attach the screen to the current steelworks at the stadium. Unfortunately, the unique nature of this structure led to various complications with Stadia Solutions’ sub-contractor, resulting in subsequent delays with installation.
This issue has now been resolved, with Stadia Solutions apologising to fans for the inconvenience caused and compensating both the club and screen sponsor for the delay.
Commercial Director, Tom Gorringe, stated, ‘As the fans are all very well aware, we have been waiting for a new big screen for quite some time now. I am happy and relieved, that a solution for the frame for the screen has finally been found and it will be installed in time for what is looking like a very exciting and crucial end to the season.’
The new screen will provide fans with an improved matchday experience by enabling the club to actively communicate, engage and share content with fans, in addition to increasing matchday revenues through sponsors and advertising.
Tom, went on to say, ‘We’d like to thank supporters for their continued patience and we look forward to seeing you all at the Mem tomorrow for our match with Sunderland!’.
Takes 6 weeks to install a frame?? Seriously
"finally been found"?? Scrap yard?
"exciting and crucial end to the season"? Possible relegation to the league above non-league - brilliant.
It'll be facing to the outside of the ground so that all the locked out hordes can watch the game.

Listening the 20man on way home earlier when he read some of the fewers texts out on what an excellent point they thought it was for them today, turned to my old man and said if City ever get to a stage where a point against Accrington Stanley was an excellent result, I’m giving up.
Some gas caller was complaining about the Accrington ground!!

With all this talk of Steve Cotterrill or Ian Holloway taking over from Darrell Clarke I decided to throw my hat into the ring.
Fortunately it hit the post and went out for a goal kick.

I see from Points West that Rovers have started a scheme to help fans suffering from depression and anxiety.
I know there's not that many who follow them, but that's one hell of an undertaking!

Evil Post are reporting that BCFC are owned by the 6th richest owner in the EFL at £2.8 billion. Probably no longer true though as HL shares are down by around 25%.
The Sags are on the list too with the Wally family supposedly worth £400 million. Not much use though if they never spend any of it
I should imagine a lot of club owners shares are down a fair bit at the moment!

Can't wait for either Clarke to walk or get the sack, just so they can go into meltdown about who the new manager will be...
.... Only for Wally to appoint some Jordanian goat-herder or shepherd as he sees it as a sure fire way to build 'The club' overseas.
