Whatever one's view is of the former CEO, if he had done such a good job then we would've been in a far better place then we currently are.

As a second tier club spending £5M plus wages on a player who then is allowed to run his contract down and then leaves for nothing still leaves a sour taste in my mouth let alone SL's.

Fortunately with NP now in charge we should never be in that position again.

For this season, where we are now is probably the highest place we will be & I wouldn't be surprised if we were to drop a couple of places given the amount of more games we've played.

I do see gradual improvement which will only improve once some more players are offloaded and replaced over the close season.

I think we will drop a couple more places and were it not for points deductions we would be staring a relegation battle in the face. Yesterday was awful so I'm not sure where the improvement is. Yes we can pull the odd good result out the bag but cannot put 2 good games together and most often can't put a good 90mins together.

I don't know what the answer is and I'm not calling for Pearson to go but he does need to be accountable for the performances on the pitch. I'm fed up with constantly blaming previous managers and Mark Ashton. We will stay up this year but I worry for next season. NP just hasn't had the impact I expected.

The crowd started to turn yesterday, Boos at half time, I want my money back, We're f_____g s___t, cheering a shot on target. Not good times at. BS3

  2. I do bristol to Liverpool regularly on a Friday and it can be anything from 3 to 5 hours and Blackpool is 1 1/4 hrs from Liverpool. lately the M5/M6 has been ok on Friday nights which means it will be crap this Friday. Might see you in the queues ?

    Need a new keeper.

Can't agree and i dont understand why Bentley is now seen as not good enough when we were worried he'd be targeted by a bigger club not long ago.

From memory (and I am of a certain age where memory is not the best) Bentley has saved us many times in the past, he should be our number 1 IMO.

Hi yes I e mailed her earlier with a  detailed account of what happened.

He was first ejected for a valid reason but accepted it and left.   He was then invited back in by a different security person. Once inside  he was  immediately blindsided by the very same stewards who initially threw him out.  Quite clearly a set up.

From what you say and what I've heard elsewhere, Fulham are employing thugs with a night club attitude and turning a blind eye to violent behaviour. Pick out someone young and inexperienced, rough them up and chuck them out.

Just want to say again if anyone did see any of this, please PM me. I'm going to rattle as many cages as I can..

So what was the valid reason?

Exactly. Klopp played all the kids against villa in the cariboo Cup  because  they had super cup next game.

    Thought the same myself.

I want to know how many players are out due to Covid, how many are just injured and how many are missing at the African Cup of Nations. It seems a big coincidence that 3 of their best players are not available due to international duties at the time they can't get enough for players to play Arsenal. I also don't get the excuse that the training ground is closed, they can train elsewhere.

  6. I was there to a very young lad with his dad in the open end. Keith Fear legend our Stan Bowles.

Those Derby days were something youngsters today don't experience.

The old Gloucester Cup and home and away league games.

Was also at the Hull City game that Cashley scored.

  7. Well I go against the majority and say I don't think £23 is too bad, I just paid £27 for an adult ticket to Luton on Boxing Day.

I'm not sure why the FA Cup games should be significantly less than a league game, I know most don't agree and I'll take some abuse for this opinion.

Yes we have been crap (since he took the job to be fair, mostly) BUT perhaps he has been unwell the whole time and unable to give his best and now the "real" NP is back in town and we will see improvement.

    I hope your right.

  9. On a personal note its good to see him back to what looks like good health, i hope he is fully recovered.

From a footbally perspective I'm not sure what difference it will make.

We were crap befor he went off ill, we were crap when he was off ill so i guess we will be crap now hes back - or am i being negative.

    And Bony Maronie.

I was too young for being a proper punk. I was more of a goth and bought my buckle boots from Bony Maronie in 1984 (I was 15).

I was looking at the area when I went past on the bus the other day. There was a record shop down there too, and a chemist where we bought hair dye, gel and cheap make up.
it was a walk through  from Broadmead to the bus station so was used quite regularly.

Bony Morony was a not so cool version of Paradise Garage

  11. Bit late to the party but saw plenty of gigs late 70's and 80's

Siouxsie, The Clash, Stranglers, Bauhaus, The Jam, Gary Numan  amongst others.

Virgin records the place to be on a Saturday. Paradise Garage by the bus station with Boney Morony next to it.

As others have said still a punk scene last gig I went to was a Clash tribute band at the exchange before the first lock down. Theres just a lot less hair these days.

Ok so if we got a different manager in now with the same players do you think you could see where the next win is coming from

The answer is I don't know - nobody knows.

I, like most, thought NP was a good appointment but he has proven to be a big disappointment.

Many blame the squad (not good enough) but other than those brought in by NP they are the same players Dean Holden had and he was sacked when we were 13th. Most of Deans squad were the same players that got Lee Johnson the sack when we were 12th. We currently sit 19th so NP has made the squad worse.

I don't want to be a club that sacks the manager every season but we have slipped into a relegation battle. The confidence of the team is shot and we can't hold onto a lead. Something needs to change or we are destined for league one.

    Careful what you wish for

I have to agree with this sentiment.

Steve Lansdown has backed managers in the transfer market, in NP he brought in the manager we all wanted. FFP will mean transfers will be restricted whatever SL wants to do.

Look at Rovers when they got a new owner they were coming for us now they are struggling in league 2.

I think it's time people stopped blaming SL, LJ or MA. The team are getting worse and that has got to be down to the manager and coaches. I thought NP was going to make us serious challengers in this division but his record with us has got relegation written all over it.

The form under NP is not down to SL who has and still is a good owner.

  14. I think those who attended football in the 70's & 80's remember why the rules on sitting/standing/drinking/segregation at football were put in place.

Whilst the majority can stand and drink without causing trouble there was and is a minority who can't.

Bring back safe standing - yes. I always used to stand and would prefer to stand.

    Drinking - no.

Football is in danger of going back to the dark days of racism and fighting IMO. As i said at the start if you remember the 70's & 80's attending football was actually quite scarey for most.
