  1. On the pitch for no reason then - how tin pot! ?
  2. Fair enough - sometimes we've just got to make the most of the good times when they come along.
  3. Maybe it was a bit OTT - however, it was celebrating securing a place in the play-offs, which very much leaves things in our own hands, we have to win 3 games. Incidentally, what were your fans celebrating on the pitch yesterday?
  4. Same as Tammy's goals kept you up - most teams outside of the Premiership benefit from loan players at some point. Why on earth would somebody wish that on a youngster who's just starting his career - for me, that's crossed the line.
  5. Where is @Shaun Taylor - is he still celebrating the midweek win over the veggie munchers? I hear that FGR threw everything at goal in the 2nd half, so a good result. A fair number of teams still in the mix at the moment - so many possible scenarios, it certainly keeps things interesting.
  6. Glad to read your good news - long may it continue. I'm at the beginning of the journey, having been given the big C diagnosis this afternoon. Should be operated on within 3-4 weeks, quite a few tests to go through beforehand, as I have other health problems. I'm remaining positive at the moment, it's not the death sentence that it used to be, although I'm not sure that the reality has hit me yet.
  7. Sorry to read that there was drama. I hope that you can begin to enjoy the house now, and that this will help with your stress levels Stay strong, eventually it will all be sorted - hold that thought! Take care.
  8. I've no idea why some of our fans felt it necessary to go on the pitch on Saturday. Same as I don't understand why some football fans recently felt it necessary to smash up a train carriage when returning from an away victory, I'm sure that was a lovely experience for ordinary members of the public who were on the train. Well, maybe I do understand - it's because some people are pillocks, and you'll find a few at every football club.
  9. Unfortunately, performances before January are taken into account! ?
  10. Sadly we've all got "goons" within our support. I thought that FGR were a very good side, very quick going forward - your defence will be busy on Tuesday. Alternatively, they may still be nursing hangovers, and you'll get a result!
  11. The kids who ran on from the Blackthorn end didn't know what to do when they got near FGR, so they diverted to hide behind the St George blokes. ?
  12. I've been there for a concert - top notch it was too.
  13. Ha ha - you've triggered me! ?? Deliberately injuring a police dog, as detailed by one of your own in his book. Seriously, I'll leave it at that - we could keep this going until Christmas!
  14. Maybe I misunderstood him? My own stance is that it's no different to the "my dad is bigger than your dad" argument which kids have. - it's a never ending circle, with valid points on both sides, along with some points not so valid. There's never going to be a "winner" - just endless re-hashing of history.
  15. As Miah has already said, the "holier than thou" stance from either side is ridiculous.
  16. Is that a quote from the small businesses in Bedminster?
  17. Crikey - you're getting your excuses in early! All seaters always make the gaps more visible - with terraces, people just spread out a bit more, so you don't get the empty spaces, like you do in a stadium with unused seats. I would think you'll get a decent turn out, people who've done the family stuff during the day can still attend, without it impacting on time with the kids etc.
  18. Ah, I was thinking of the play off game when a team in the relegation place would play a two legged tie with team in promotion place from league below, to try and save their status. I think Sheff Utd did so on that occassion - they stopped that format as there was a lot of trouble at the various matches I believe.
  19. Ha ha - for once, JB was not the guilty party in this instance! ? Was that at the old style play-off game?
  20. If you read the replies you will see that the majority of people slate the original post, as it's accepted that City have the larger numbers (there are always a few who bury their heads in the sand regarding this).
  21. Agreed, I think we all accept that swearing is engrained in the passion of matchdays. Sometimes it is too much though, I was once stood behind a bloke who shoe-horned so many four letter words into everything he said, that none of it actually made sense.
  22. This all sounds sadly familiar, the OAP's trying to relive their youth, and the coked up youngsters who imitate their behaviour. Can be major spoilers of away days for the rest of us.
  23. The Safety Advisory Group have brought in tougher regulations since Covid, which has affected the capacity. Supporters are no longer allowed to stand at the perimiter of the pitch, and general standing capacity has been reduced to make it easier to keep the "yellow box" areas clear of fans. Not sure how this really impacts on the safety of the stadium, but I suppose that they have to do something to justify their existence.
  24. Dig deep to find some inner strength if you can. Try to focus ahead to when she's moved out, and hopefully things may be less stressful for you. Tough times indeed - take care, and reach out if you need to.
