I'm sure I could find it if I googled it, but is there a limit to how much rail seating we can install as a percentage of the ground?

No limit, other than there must be some normal seating available for both home and away fans.

Leeds though? Sure they have fans standing at the side also although I do undoubtedly agree with your post but I also I recall Millwall fans standing in 2018 and 2019 when I was in the away end.

Under pressure from their SAG, Leeds have installed rail seats in the 'worst' areas of persistent standing.

  3. If fans in the end block of the Dolman were to stand persistently, there is no doubt that the SAG/SGSA would put pressure on the club to address that.

There are then only two possible solutions: (1) install rail seats or barriers to remove the risk of progressive crowd collapse, or (2) use draconian stewarding methods / stadium bans to force fans to sit.

Love him if he can help improve the atmosphere at AG given Palace's reputation on that score

That atmosphere is largely down to the fans (ultras) themselves. But Phil Alexander (and Steve Parish) always encouraged it, had an open dialogue with the group and helped it to flourish.

He won't personally be able to create an impoved atmosphere at AG (which we badly need), but he has shown a willingness in the past to work with those who can.

  5. I've met Phil Alexander a few times over the years when campaigning for safe standing and always found him approachable and friendly.

It looks like a good appointment to me, not least as it has been made in a timely fashion, leaving a good hand-over period between Richard Gould and him.

Great write up as always Jerseybean, interesting bit about the Coates family,

    Yep, really good write-up, thanks.

Picking hairs, one slight correction re Peter Coates' involvement with Signal Radio (as it was called at launch). Having joined the pre-launch team there in summer 1983 (moving from Radio West), I would say that's wrong to call Peter the 'founder'. He may well have been one of the many shareholders and even a non-exec director, but he was not chairman in the first few years. He only took up that role some time later. So, I don't think it can be said that he 'founded' the station. He's certainly done a lot of good for Stoke as a place, though, over the years.

@Blagdon red we can’t get to the Cardiff game this weekend. We’re off to see some more huffing and puffing in Sterling - Highland Games!

Can you make use of our season tickets? 1 adult and 2 U19s. If you can’t then no worries.

Let me know when you can.

Thanks - So, there are now two sets of 1 x adult, 2 x kids tickets up for grabs. We can organise Big Al & Toby's tickets in the same way as the Fans of the Future tickets. Please e-mail the address shown on the page below if interested:

  8. Over 83% of the tickets available for this season have now been allocated, with only two games (Blackburn and Wigan) where all 8 tickets remain available.

For this Sunday against Cardiff there is still one adult and two kids tickets up for grabs. So, if you'd like to take two deserving youngsters to the game for free, especially if they've not been before or are rarely able to go, click below for details and let us know:

  9. The SC&T would like to know your views on a variety of issues, so that when we're talking to the club about these things we can correctly reflect fans' views.

So, please spare 10 minutes to complete this survey:

    SC&T 2022 Supporters Survey

    Thanks!

PS: Please note that the link will work only once on any given device. So, if other family members want to complete the survey, they will need to do so on another device (PC, tablet or mobile).

In fact, I have just checked, and the ticket I mentioned is 9€ per month, and includes all public transportation, including buses, trams, underground etc.

    Incredible value.

I am currently the proud holder of such a ticket.

The 9 EUR payment covers all travel on all local public transport in the country (buses, trams, underground, metro, mainline regional trains, even some ferries) for a month. The only exclusions are express intercity trains.

It's a move by the government to ease the cost of living burden and to encourage motorists to leave their cars at home.

It will be available again in July and in August.

Yeh there's a hard line in the Conservative party that are against regulation in general. However, Fair Game did get 52 (so about 8%) of MPs, including 8 Conservatives, to sign up. Kerry McCarthy was the only Bristol MP to sign up officially.

What I've heard is that it is coming, it just might take a little longer. I don't want to make this a politics thread, but I would generally agree with your appraisal of the Cabinet.

And I'd agree that Crouch has integrity. As Ajax says, I believe this will happen. It will just take time. But as it has cross-party support, even a change of government shouldn't derail it. We'll get there in the end.

    Has (I've just noticed) expired.

Was gonna renew as (I think unlike last year) I have a PayPal account now, previously I had to do something else.

Anyway, what I can't see how to do is change the requested figure to a different amount.

    Any pointers?

Otherwise can someone post a link to the non-PayPal route please.

    Here you go: https://www.otib.co.uk/index.php?/checkout/4928/

PayPal is no longer the only payment option.
