I am great believer in things going in cycles, I am always thinking the good times are coming around again. Looking forward to seeing the next generation come through too.

Yes our cycle is 8 years.

So next season is our season....

    1975/76 > 8 years

    1983/84 > 6 years

    1989/90 > 8 years

    1997/98 > 9 years

    2006/07 > 8 years

    2014/15 > ?

    Average every 8 years

Section 82 are throwing objects every game it seems. Maybe it was a mistake to make that area, as it just attracts louts.

The Dolman fighting is embarrassing. 8 on 1.  So ruddy bloody brave.

Does anyone recognise these dolman idiots/ Prats?

Not for one minute am I suggesting their names are disclosed but just wondered if they are regulars.

    Murray vs Middlesbrough

    McIndoe vs Palace

Clarkson vs Leicester? (The one he shinned from about 40 yards out and took an age to drop in)

    Smith vs Man Utd

    Bryan vs G*s

Combo of meaningful, sublime and comical goals that have stuck with me

    These are at home

ok .....I left Away out of the title

    ?

  4. What are your top 5 Away goals which you have seen live at the ground i.e. not on tv/robins TV etc

Just your own favourite goals, based on your elation at the time, could be the technique, the occasion or both.

    In no particular order:

    Player, v Team,  Year:

    1. Tomlin v Fulham, 2016

    2. Noble v Palace, 2008

    3. Jacky v Leicester, 1992

    4. Tinnion v Liverpool, 1994

    5. Brownhill, V Cardiff, 2019

I thought the City fans sounded in very good voice today, watching Robins tv.

Yes it would be great to have a club anthem, a well known, easy to sing song that everyone enjoyed joining in to. Something like Stoke used to have with Delilah.

I have no music expertise in to what would make a good football song but surely someone on here does!?

Yes thats it, club Anthem I am meaning not a mainstream song as I put it

  6. When we had johnson says bounce around the ground, it meant everyone joined in and created a good atmosphere. All fan base would join in. In a big away following you get all types of fans beyond the singing section. Those fans also joined in.

But now, there is a void. We need another song or bring that one back with a different name.

We tried to sing it today and the response from Swans was what the fuxxin hell was that. East East end bounce around doesn't work but maybe that song has been dome to death.

So we need a new one.

When we use to sing bounce around we would get comments from other teams how good our support was.

Today wasn't good collectively even when we were on top in the first half or at the beginning. Very quiet.

of course the half time in the concourse saw a lot of jubilation by 300 or so but the other 1600 don't join in with those songs.

We need a mainstream chant again

Either this post will be considered as a load of bollocks or some will know what I'm trying to say.

Ole ole Bristol City doesn't have the uplift it use to either.

Best uplifting one at the moment which all join in is HNM song.

Other than that there isn't one.

    IMO.

I'm not sure what your post is trying to illustrate - but it's shows that all those who wanted LJ gone and were crying out for an experienced manager - it's really not that straightforward.

There have certainly been some signs of improvement recently - but it's sldo impossible to take any 5+ game spell of NP's time in charge and be satisfied with the return from it.

Things may be building, and I hope they are - but let's be Frank - NP's results record has been pretty woeful.

We'll be safe this season, but I don't get people optimism about the next year or 2.

When something looks good, it's generally lucky (Wiemann or semenyo hitting form)

Our continued defensive weakness is a concern tha. Really should have been addressed in a year.

not sure either, was just looking at the last few seasons
