Oh I didn't realise Steve Walsh manged liecester and had a mark ashton role there
I know you are being sarcastic but he was the chief scout who identified Vardy, Mahrez, Kante etc. Pearson would have held talks to convince him to join Leicester but didn't 'find' him

A bit salty on th eLuton forum - referring to OTIB:
It’s a wankathon over there about Kal. A journeyman for most of his career. 18 months under NJ and his team and has one decent season in probably 12 as a pro and they think they’ve signed Rio Ferdinand. The team that took Bakinson and ruined him and I noticed O’Dowda who they signed ahead of us has now left on a free.
8th is their best ever season in the championship under the playoff system. A nothing club that’s won **** all and never will. And they think we're paying him £20,000 a week

Kal Naismith
Currently considering a new deal that the Hatters have offered the Scotsman, Kal Naismith’s future at Kenilworth Road could be pivotal.
Naismith enjoyed an excellent 2021/22 campaign, showing pure class when in possession and carrying the ball forward, whilst showing all the necessary defensive attributes to justify why he featured in a number of Team of the Seasons.
Possessing a wand of a left foot, his set-pieces have also caused chaos for opposing defences during this campaign. Showing Premier League ability, it would be no surprise to see top-tier interest emerging as the summer progresses.
I like that write up! from https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/2-luton-town-players-who-face-an-uncertain-few-weeks-ahead/

As I do, every pre-season, I wager a season long bet on the various divisions. This season I did an accumulator of Fulham Champs, Wigan Champs, Burnley relegation.................and Bradford Top 7 finish! My £6 bet would have realised nearly £500, if I had not been dumb enough to pick Bradford as my 2nd Division good thing? ( Not even to get promoted, but Top 7!!) they finished 14th. Still, as frustrating as it is, It is always the case of a chain only being as strong as it's weakest link? I wondered if any forum members cleaned up, or like me, came close, but have a similar tale of...............if only?
Pretty similar to mine! I had £20 on Norwich relegation with Fulham, Rotherham and Bradford to go up - returned about £3000! I remember listening to podcasts and hearing Bradford were a great shout as Derek Adams had taken Morecambe up etc!

Im not comparing them.
Oh no you were 'simply asking what would be the response if a footballer came out as openly being a MAP' on a thread about the first openly gay male footballer in 32 years. Then deflect every comment back at you as you still can't see how this isn't a genuine question in an appropriate topic.
That's OTIB for you. We won't lose any sleep

Because as a gay man he would find looking at other fit young men undressed sexually exiting, and that's my final word on the subject, if it doesn't bother you great me as I have said would find it a bit uncomfortable and I don't feel the need to apologise to you or anyone else for having that opinion.
I'm not going to guess your age or generation but I suggest you educate yourself.

I knew this would get a reaction, again I will say I'm sure some of the players feel the same way but judging by the reaction my sincere question has raised it seems you can't dare say anything these days which is a shame.
Don't hide behind that bullshit 'cancel culture' and 'no free speech' crap. You can say exactly what you want but be expected to back it up and explain it.
The issue is on you, why does is bother you?

I don't know why you would mention that. Its irrelevant.
Just as irrelevant as the initial comment, unfortunately they are being provocative for the sake of it. Even a talksport phone in wouldn't sink that low. Shame

Isn’t that exactly what we’re trying to avoid doing since the LJ days?
Depends if the other club in the bag is Zak Vyner...

Makes me wonder what we might actually get for HNM and what club would be prepared to buy him??? - they have him as our second most valuable player at £3.6M after Kalas at £4M.
£2-3 million tops

Who was the last striker we released/sold who everyone said was a mistake? Eisa? McCoulsky?

Promotion extra payment clause in the Kelly deal?!
-
Baker will retire
Klose hopefully will sign new deal
Moore & Vyner will leave
Kalas will be offered a longer deal on reduced terms, imagine if he isn't interested the club will look to offload
Atkinson first choice and I would look to sign one new centre back (Moore from Oxford?)
Cundy as back up and Idehen behind him, possibly a loan move if we have enough cover.

Really enjoying this thread so far.
By and large reaffirms the less than 1% of the fan base who use the forum regularly.
Although sometimes I get the the impression they think they are the fan base.
When city are still bang average in 20 years time you’ll honestly ask yourself (well some of you as quite a few will be dead) who are these numpties wasting thousands of pounds on season tickets for themselves and families? Why on earth are they so loyal?
They’ll love the club and feel so loyal for many reasons, but very few will be because when they were young that sat politely in the Lansdown and just enjoyed really watching 90 minutes of division 2 football.
Very confusing... so if you run on the pitch as a kid it turns you into some kind of super fan?

Wales v Ukraine
in Football Chat
Posted
Not an extra game, Wales beat Austria in March. The Ukraine/Scotland game was due to be played then too but postponed due to the war.
