No one is hung up on it. Just having a discussion about what the true attendance figure is.

No one will know for sure so seems like a bizarre discussion...!

Exactly my point, Tinnion won't go near it. EVEN if this is actually an accurate story

This is to replace Richard Hughes the previous FGR director of football who went to Portsmouth a few weeks ago.

I thought seats were reserved for ST holders for the initial sales period, its worded a bit confusingly.

Don't think so. Season ticket holders in Upper Lansdown won't have theirs so you need to log on and reserve them if you want your usual seats

Surely all the seats will be blocked out as they will be set aside until season ticket holders decide whether they are going to attend or not?

Nope "There will be no seats reserved for this fixture and the Upper Lansdown Stand will not be open"

The EFL fixture programme will return as scheduled from Tuesday 13 September, with tributes to be paid to Her late Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II at grounds around the country.

A minute’s silence will be held before matches, with black armbands to be worn by participants, flags to be flown at half-mast and the National Anthem to be played in stadiums.

With a national policing plan now in operation, the League and Clubs will continue to work with forces in respect of any challenges that may emerge regarding policing of specific fixtures.

Consideration to individual circumstances will be made on a case-by-case basis, in line with standard match Safety Advisory Group (SAG) protocols.

For me, yes.  It’s my escape, it’s my father / son time.  Yes, I can do something else, but I don’t think we all had to be held to the same decision.

in response…Is the queen passing away at 96 that big a deal really?

    For me, nope.

For others, yes.  I respect your thoughts on this, but you don’t seem to think that others can react and fee, very differently.

Agree with a lot of what you say Dave but the flip side of it is that it is a massive deal for a lot of the country, just because Joe Bloggs in the street isn't extremely upset doesn't mean that he can speak for others. Respect goes both ways.

At the end of the day the decision was always going to be made at the highest level and its filtered down from the Premier League via the FA.

Yep. I think they should have played, but am not surprised at all that they aren't and can sort of understand why.

However some of the reactions have been quite eye-opening, particularly from posters who are normally a lot more level headed and rational. I hope for their sake that most of it is performative.

Yes pretty much my take on it @Phileas Foggif you really want to know my opinion without the emojis.

Ok great - I am in total disagreement with @BrizzleRed and think it's a complete boomer response.

Boomer? I have heard woke, snowflake and virtue signalling mentioned on twitter but first boomer!

Palmer trotted about the pitch, barely pressing. When he got the ball he was dispossessed more often than not. The balls he did play were mostly telegraphed. Just because he looks tidy doesn't mean he's any good or effective
