From an ambition perspective, Bristol City would be a pointless move. They do have a lot of good youngsters but some of those will be sold in the summer just to balance the books which aren't in the best of health. The only thing that Bristol City will offer is a load of cash such is their mantra and philosophy of doing things.

From there forum which is apparently stuck in 1998

Difficulty with all these is knowing what the offer actually is. £10m could mean 'up to £10m' and only a proportion of that is certain. Its fine judgements, his contract is less than Scott's time wise so we need to tread with some care. I am sure the club are aware of all that and are balancing it all as best they can.

Yes clearly someone (Semenyos agent?) is leaking all this stuff to the press to put pressure on the club...

Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere, but how can they agree personal terms before a bid has been accepted?  Surely they're not allowed to talk to the player before being given permission and a bid accepted?

Yes usually happens these days, clubs should give consent for the player/agent to discuss terms with club and then they can agree a few if the player actually wants to move there.

Just trying to quantify what was said to explain this 4 page thread.
Not a single person in 4 pages has been able to clarify anything about this incident.
Just think it would be good to know, so that we can all make a proper judgment.
Not saying this was or wasn’t the right course of action - just would be good to understand the full context.

There was an arrest and police and the club have confirmed homophobic language was used. But until you know exactly what language was used you can't make a proper judgement? Bit odd.

Has now left Yeovil by "mutual consent".

"Forwards Britton & Scrimshaw both leave the Club via mutual consent. Scrimshaw, who arrived in August, made eight appearances in all competitions, whilst Britton played four games and netted once, against Taunton in the Somerset Premier Cup."

But but but Pearson made a massive mistake letting him go and he is a championship level striker....

  6. The trend does seem to be appointing an assistant or youth coach from a bigger club who are looking for their opportunity to manage.

Michael Beale, Kieran McKenna, Neil Critchley, Kolo Toure, Michael Carrick...

Looking at the list of available managers I can understand why

Not heard the interview and not seen the context for the quote so don’t want to jump to conclusions.

What I would say is the vast majority fans have been far more patient, trusting and supporting of Pearson than might be expected from the results alone and you would hope he and the club appreciated that.
