There is no requirement to have a mask on anywhere in the ground, if you want to that's a matter of personal choice, at the friendly last week most people didn't have masks on

That's exactly what he has said? It's his personal choice to follow what the club are advising. The club state:

"We encourage you to use face coverings when moving around internal areas.

Feel free to wear face coverings in your seat"

Firstly, I think it is really important to confirm that as a club we stand firmly against any form of violence.

    Bit weird that.

So why did they appoint Barton in the first place knowing he has two criminal convictions for violence?

Seems a strange thing for the Crown Prosecutor to say, but I guess he knows the law better than most of us (you'd hope so anyway!)

Hush - you're spoiling their moment of superiority!

I read it as its a victimless crime as in the wife who was allegedly assaulted won't give evidence or if she did give a statement may withdraw it. So the police and CPS will report it and try to gain a conviction in spite of the 'victim'

What, because i haven’t been scared into having a vaccine i don’t need? And most of us don’t need.

I think for myself and don’t trust the government and elites. Why would i. Most the time they try and **** us over.

Many parts of the world don’t have running water or other basic needs. I bet these people that care so much, make sure they have the vaccine tho!

"I think for myself" and "sheep" just need "MSM" for the hat trick!

it's alarming that people like you will always found the 1 "virologist/pidemiologist" that has the alternative view and dismiss the other hundreds who don't share your view on a particular subject.

Then "we" get constantly told we are naive, gullible, sheeple etc etc because we follow the MSM and can't think for ourselves because you are one of the few people that knows "the truth".

Unfortunately as seen on many other social media platforms most people are so far down the conspiracy theory rabbit hole they can't back down, and come across massively arrogant - see OpenEnd on the Covid thread for a classic example.

Bottom line fuelling vaccine hesitancy by posting false narratives, wild conspiracy theories and out-of-context stats endangers our return to normality.

I should add that if you haven't seen the Barkley Marathon film on Netflix, it is essential viewing for runners.

Yeah its great, I also recommend the Gary Robbins doc which is on YouTube - Where dreams go to die

Sponsored by Mansionbet is it an official podcast? If so it needs improving massively. Compare it to Watford Post chalk and cheese

The official podcast is the Robins Nest hosted by 'Downsy'. https://www.bcfc.co.uk/news/listen-to-the-new-robins-nest-podcast/ that might be more to your taste.

OSIB was to my knowledge the first fan run City podcast and is a great listen, Stan and the team have done an amazing job since the beginning and certainly don't begrudge them having a gambling sponsor which helps the podcast and allows giveaways etc. Try a few others and see what you think, I much prefer this style of Podcast and the types of discussion than other more dry and serious ones but each to their own.

A few years ago there were no podcasts about the club now there is:

    • Forever Bristol City Podcast as seen on these forums
    • BS3 Talk podcast
    • robinsatthegate Podcast with Michelle Owen and Gregor McGregor (although they are also sponsored by MansionBet!)
    • 3 Peaps In A PodCast

Not bad for free and considering the amount of work that goes into each episode most people are very grateful to have the choice. Its great to have constructive feedback as Stan always asks for on various social media channels but to come on and call it garbage isn't very helpful.

  7. Don't enjoy the cold, the tights and woolly hat are back this week!

All the usual off road routes are mud pits now so sticking to the roads as don't fancy trail running... think I have done every possible route in the town now...

I managed 225k in Nov and hoping to finish on 2000k for the year which is mental!
