    Runners!

I see Bath Half has been put back from March to Sept 2021... cant see any 'big' events going ahead next year. Relish Running are still doing small events at Bath two tunnels and at the Racecourse - staggered starts etc which is fine for small numbered events

Yeah I see events in 2021 and guidance on how they will do it, staggered starts etc but can't see how they will go ahead...

Broke in the new trainers with a nice 23k on Sunday! Definitely feel like I want to train for marathon distance but would like an event to aim for...

Yeah I wondered why my runs weren't syncing! Then I saw Garmin trending on twitter...

That sounds like a good idea, the amount of stupid running questions I google or watch on YouTube is unreal! I am sure I have loads of questions that could start you off...

    Runners!

Thanks! I had no idea about any of this stuff when I started running, I try and mix my routes up as often as I can which keeps it interesting. Music wise that's a good idea, I have various playlists depending on my mood but slower is a good plan!

    Runners!

Got into a bit of a YouTube rabbithole last night and I now know all about aerobic and anaerobic running! My pace is always around 4:25/km and most of my runs are in the Zone 5/4 heart rate zones (I have all this on my Garmin but have never really paid much attention to it!). I can comfortably run a half but if I want to aim for anything longer I need to slow down, but its difficult to run slower! Might try a socially distanced run with a friend to keep it at a conversational pace...

Good effort, how about running with music or a podcast?

I've got that same watch and it's great, made such a difference being able to track pace, and see things like heart rate. Also connects to my Bluetooth earphones so much easier to skip tracks on the move. The Garmin connect app is pretty good and you can add your own workouts, not really explored it properly yet though.

Had an enforced rest as two massive blisters on the inside on my big toe ? frustrating!

17k morning run which was pleasant apart from the bastard hill ? much easier on the way down! 183k for May which I'm happy with.

Going to try a late evening run tonight and see how I get on, I may try a 7am run at some point this week as the forecast looks hot but don't think I'll ever be that person!

I've always run with a running bottle with handle for runs over 10/12k, got a cheap karrimor one from sports direct think it's 600ml and does the job - never had a problem running with it! Proper runners tell me it's messes your movements up but doesn't for me. Longer runs I used to either leave an extra bottle en route or always plan to run past a garage or shop and grab a bottle. Can never get on with running belts and camelbaks seem a bit extreme for anything under a half.

Struggle to run in the heat! I started in October last year and used to the cold and wet... I'm usually a late afternoon runner so will have to delay it to avoid the heat, I've never been an early morning person but might try it...!

Just had a nice 12k, weather was good and legs felt good! Shaved a few seconds off my 5k and 10k times (21:10 & 43:03).

Bad timing at the moment! I went to my local running shoe shop in Wilts and were really helpful, let me try on about 30 pairs after they did my gait analysis etc! Found Asics fit my feet much better than Brooks or other brands as my feet are slightly wide. Think there's a few specialist running shops in Bristol?

Well done everyone! I did the Bath Half in 1:44 which was good but very slow start due to amount of people! Currently done 60k so far this week and 440k this year, still really enjoying it especially now the weather has got a bit nicer.
  23. Next one of the first big companies to suspend all online sales due to concerns from warehouse and distribution staff. Guess sales have massively dropped as no one needs new clothes for staying at home but could be start of other companies following suit.
