Good work everyone! Still going strong, averaging about 30k a week depending on work and weather!
I am tempted to sign up to a few organised 10ks or the Bath Half and raise some money for charity, how have people found running the mass events like that for the first time? I quite enjoy just putting my headphones in and being in my own space so not sure how I would find the big events like that
I am getting there, managed to 100k in November which I was pleased with. Just run my longest distance of 20k in just under 1 hour 55.
So any tips on nipple chafing?! Vaseline doesn't work and rubs off, used microporous tape which is okay but painful to take off! seen stuff online called body glide but doesn't look much different to Vaseline. I have ordered some Under Armour tight compression tops which I have read may help but any advice is appreciated!
I am still on sub 10k's at the moment and building up from scratch so not in the Strave group yet!
I also managed to strain my ankle last week (having previously torn ligaments playing football years ago so have always been weak) so haven't been out recently, very frustrating!
Nice thread! I've only just starting running just for general fitness, I only ever used a treadmill but now started some routes outside near where I live around 5km but gradually hoping to increase this.
As someone else said I use the free version of Strava which is really good for recording times and intervals and makes you want to go back out there and beat those.
Theres a uefa ruling that domestic matches can't be broadcast on live TV on champions league nights but Arsenal got dispensation from uefa if they agreed to move kick off earlier is what I read!
