  1. Obviously the argument to this is the amount of tax the arsenal players pay would fund far more 25 community youth workers so in reality they are already doing more than you ask. I wasn't aware that it was so bad so making people aware seems good to me.
  2. The problem with this is thinking that the singing section is one uniform blob that sings at the same time rather than what I have observed by moving there this year, it's actually at least 6 singing groups that all sing different songs at different times and sometimes 1 song catches on. Spread those 6 a cross the back of the SS with big gaps between them where the noise is projected out and the different groups can barely hear each other and I think we would be in danger of just having 6 groups singing different songs along the back of the SS.
  3. The more I heard from the way NP likes to operate the more I think he operates as something I imagine being between a DoF and manager. With a team of coaches that are also heads of areas so essentially also doing management jobs.
  4. There's only ever going to be one way of spoiling his affection and affinity with us and that's signing a permanent deal. Sometimes things are better left as they are.
  5. But also mates that he will get rid of if he is in any danger.
  6. Well that's it isn't it, MA has the perfect job all the adulation when it's working, all the decisions, fires others when it goes wrong, the most amount of money and none of the accountability. He builds a structure where he is responsible for hire and fire and then imposes himself into these positions.
  7. Yes so what’s the position the SC&T hold on all the above? We can’t say we just want to talk about these things we have to have positions that counter the club. 1. what does the SC&T think is a reasonable maximum and minimum for fans to pay? 2. how do the SC&T think attendances can be increased home and away? 3. Now there is a tangible request what are the club doing about it? what are the SC&T doing to advertise this position, how are they getting fans behind them on this? 4. Back to what is the tangible thing the SC&T would like? ect. and then how are pressing the club to make any of this a reality? sorry if this covered elsewhere, I haven’t seen it but you see where I’m going with it, if feels like chat about what the club is/should/could/would do rather than this is what we want as fans and this is what we’re going to do about it, what is the club going to do about it?
  8. To us it all depends on his cost - if he currently costs a lot and with our finances the way they are and the market the way it is we may be able to get better value by selling him. Personally I can't see how we get to the prem in the next 3 years, we have to reduce cost while staying in the league, it's a balancing act that involves less money being spent so obviously the involvement of youth and lower league players, maybe a 10% chance in about 4/5 years time but that's as good a chance as we have with FFP the way it is, if HNM shares that view I can't see him sticking around for 4/5 years for such a small chance.
  9. I guess where all of this falls down is if HNM doesn’t sign a new contract and winds his existing one down, then we’re really up a creek without a paddle.
  10. I’m fairly sure it’s related to your guestimations re financials, mr popodopolous turns up with cold hard numbers.
  11. It did feel like it was turning into what the supporters club used to be - a drinking club. I don't hear many fan led campaigns coming from the SC&T anymore like used to happen with the trust when it was separate.

    Del's new job

Isn't that NP's exact remit right now, it's almost as if we're in decades long groundhog Day.
  13. Unless we're selling him to a prem club that's probably where the market is. The key at the moment is wages and as he has his whole immediate family is over here with him I would imagine that's quite expensive but no real idea. Should mean that if we can we should be able to replace him with similar quality for about the same price but reduce the cost base.
  14. Interesting. Of course if contracts are up then they might just renew on reduced terms. Does that put them a bit ahead of us in terms of clearing expensive players off the wage bill and clearing up there balance sheet? I guess we did that with Weiman over the summer but had a lot more players. I'm really interested in seeing others balance sheets now.
  15. It certainly is, 50% of his touches look championship quality now, problem is the other 50% that hit his other foot or a heal or any other part of his body that he wasn’t planning on it hitting. He is sorting it out though and has come a long way since the lost puppy that he looked like in his first game. If he can sort out his touch then he will create chances for himself and we might have a player that fulfils the potential that Chelsea saw.
  16. I do the same but I’m far more simple. who are my guaranteed experienced players at each “layer” - need Kalas, James & Weiman. Then who’s my next best available player COD - stick him on the left. Have I got anyone else that should be playing - nope, right …….. well with Max that’s almost half a team time for tea break. While having his tea break JL phones him up and reminds him about the 5 pillars and playing young players so he comes back and thinks everyone thinks Vyner and Pring are young so he can get away with that but He has a choice at centre back between Atkinson that’s been out of form and Towler who’s started shouting a lot since he got back from Grimsby (probably a hearing problem) - I’ll give Towler a go, time for another tea, oh almost forgot I can stick Semenyo up front because everyone else is knackered. right, then midfield, who’s left, HNM, AB or Scott - we’ve already got James and no one else that’s fit is capable of shielding the defence, we need something going forward so Scott is probably best at that, HNM or AB, I’m sure I saw a tombola around here. oh maybe it’s not as simple and assumes he thinks about the formation without knowing which players to play in it which would be stupid, oh well back to the drawing board. Knew I shouldn’t have had that double coffee at half time!
  17. Are you saying we should pay more?
  18. Well at 33 I would almost guarantee you’re correct. we need someone who can play with there back to goal and he is that option at the moment because no one else can, but that comes after a midfielder that can supplement the rest of our 50% available if lucky entire midfield.
  19. I thought it took a while to get going and even at 1 up it was still pretty subdued, then it obviously went downhill with them scoring and taking the lead. what really kicked the good atmosphere off was there MILLLLLLLL followed by us scoring and taking the piss, after that the atmosphere was great. we do always seem to need something to get us going and we can definitely get behind the team 15 minutes at the end but I wish we could do it from the start - but better than nothing.
  20. It was definitely loud enough that he could hear it on the pitch and I could hear it in the SS/Dolman corner. real class moment from our fans.
  21. Depends what you were singing - some were singing Millwall's chant and some were singing Tom thumb.
