  1. Warnocks available and looking for a job at a ‘struggling’ Championship side according to the Scum ….. https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/26741032/neil-warnock-aberdeen-championship-new-club-manager/
  2. In 2054 I can imagine that some fans will still be blaming the fact we have not yet managed to make it to the premiership on the brief period LJ was in charge
  3. Sometimes, trying to debate football on here is like Woody in Toy Story trying to negotiate with the little one-eyed aliens in the grab machine. I think sacking Liam and replacing him with another unproven and unknown ‘yes’ man from the lower leagues, chosen by Jon L and Brian T is not a good idea - at this stage. if we enter the relegation zone anything goes and we would have nothing to lose, but right now we are mid table and replacing a known JL appointment with an unknown JL appointment is, to me, silly.
  4. I assumed because you made no attempt to comment on the thread. Just simply posted some, presumably in your opinion humorous, comment about needing mental health assistance. I also assume you must think that because you disagree with my opinions?
  5. It’s partly because I totally agree with you on JL and BT that I don’t want LM sacked - and if he WAS sacked I don’t trust tweedle dum and tweedle Dee to appoint a decent replacement - and they will NOT be sacked (well, Tweedle Dum won’t) I think (hope) he will turn it around. just my opinion - I accept I’m in the minority.
  6. Sorry but that’s not true. We held the Football League record of letting a lead slip for a while - it was commented on by Sky Sports News at the time. Most points dropped from a winning position. Anyway, I respect your opinions - so who do you trust Jon L to appoint next then?
  7. Sorry mate - what is debatable? We attack more under Manning?
  8. I don’t think a Manning side sits back. We can’t deal with sides that sit deep, but that’s been the case since Cotts - and although we all love Cotts we were facing League 1 opponents back then.
  9. I can’t speak for anyone else - and we are all entitled to an opinion - but LM hasn’t lost me - yet. I can see signs of what he is trying to achieve - vs Watford, Southampton, West Ham, Forest and even Ipswich (though we lost). If we drop into the relegation zone then sure - gamble on another manager, but for now I’d stick with him. I didn’t want Nige sacked - I was astonished when it was announced - but a Nigel Pearson team was very defensive and tried (often unsuccessfully) to sit back in a 1 goal lead. One thing I find refreshing is that we still attack when a goal up. Ok, sometimes it doesn’t work, but I like the idea. I’m probably in the minority judging by some of the comments on here, but that’s how I feel. Also, you do know who would be in charge of appointing any successor, don’t you!!!
  10. I always liked Pato. His chant; ‘do do dododo do Jamie Paterson’ followed him to Swansea!!
  11. I’ve had that a few times - for the camera up the old jacksy. I like the ‘drink of doom’ description - very apt!!! good luck mate.
  12. Just catching up with this thread hence the late response. Hope you and your wife are coping mate Let’s hope a cure can be found soon - Cancer Research is one of the charities I give to regularly.
  13. We lost by one goal to a second placed team on their patch. Disappointing to lose but we weren’t humiliated. 0 points not a surprise either from this fixture
  14. Disappointed of course. For most of the game we held our own - like a lower league side in a cup game. We gave them a fright on a few occasions. At the end of the day we were undone by a coupe of stupid individual errors and a lack of fitness. At the end we looked spent. That final throw-in the lads looked devoid of any ideas or energy.
  15. That’s a double whammy for some; Liams team winning AND Mehmeti scoring a great goal. if it stays this way some will be crying in their cider tonight because neither will be going anywhere!!!!!
  16. Didn’t we lose something like 6-0 at Portman Road in GJs Playoff Final season? I seem to remember we played the home fixture very shortly afterwards -only a couple of weeks later - and won it 2-1(?) - a very bad tempered affair with loads of fouls. I may be wrong - not using Google as I’m trying to keep my memory active in old age!!!
  17. I never want City to lose. I would much rather LM recovered and our results and performances stabilised than we embark on a ‘new manager’ fiasco - weeks of limbo whilst potential candidates are interviewed - especially considering who would be in charge of selecting Liams replacement. It’s ’better the devil you know’ for me - for now at least.
  18. Utter ****ts. Geriatric primary school kids. It’s a FOOTBALL match FFS.
  19. Some of us do. I agree with Major. Some of the abuse hurled at players (verbal and written) for a mid-placed pass or missing an open goal/penalty can be over the top. These are not much more than kids - very well paid yes (therein lies the problem IMHO because people see the salary not the person), but kids/young men nonetheless. good luck to Ross - he seems to be through his illness and I wish him all the best.
  20. Bell out for the rest of the season
  21. Saw a very brief interview on SSN - he said he has never won a cup in his managerial career. I find that surprising. He is going all out for the cup games in particular. Hardly any point in contesting Celtic and Rangers in the league - play the reserves against them!!!
