  1. Does that points per match include his time as Spanish under 20something coach? I don't think he has a lot of experience as the top man.
  2. Okay, I should have said this list, or any other list. The Bristol Post, albeit out of date, say he's the bookies favourite and his name comes up every time we need a new manager. I don't really know why.
  3. I look at that list and ask why is Tisdale even on it. Poor PPG and if Cotterill couldn't attract them, what presence has Tisdale got? The only person I can see there that we could realistically get, and has the experience for the next level that we need to get to, is Pearson. If not, a short term Warnock to get us out of the cart.
  4. With that tent behind the goal, perhaps it should be Carry on Camping. Poor old Higgs, infamy, infamy, they've all got it in-for-me.
  5. So they get 7 days to appeal the latest decision to reject an appeal ! If that appeal gets rejected, do they get to appeal that decision as well? When does it end?
  6. I hope they are successful. Can we not make any decisions without judicial review any more? At this rate, councils should consider making a judicial review part of the planning approval process. I really would like to see a judge be brave enough to ask a JR applicant why they've waited 2 months and 29 days to get their piece of paper in, when it should take no longer than 2 weeks. If they can't provide an adequate explanation there and then, throw it out.
  7. Time to give it a rest I think, especially the BBC. Good (and bad) he may have been, but plenty of good men and women have died since last Thursday and the world is still turning. Time to move on.
  8. Exactly. In these days of the transfer window the board have to decide to make a change now or never. Either that or we end up living off of crap from the loan market as we have for the last 3 years. Might seem strange after an improved performance, but I guess he was given a minimum points pick up over the 2 home games and failed to get it. Stadium yesterday, so put back to today.
  9. Looks like even the Green Party are supporting this. There is now a letter of support from the Deputy leader for Bristol, Tess Green.
  10. Thanks for the link. Page 40 suggests we previously had permission to redevelop Ashton Gate to a seated capacity of 30,500, even with the Atyeo in it's current form. Does anyone know why were now looking at 26,500?
  11. It took 20 years to buy up a similar rank of houses on the A38 next to the Rolls-Royce car park!
  12. Does anyone know if the Atyeo nearest the Dolman will be modified internally (a bit of a curve or angled section built)? If not, given that there is already a considerable pitch overhang and the pitch is moving further away, people in the seats nearest the Dolman will need to turn their heads to a 45 degree angle for the whole match!
  13. For sure, we'd be disappointed if they didn't! However, If we'd have dotted all the i's and crossed all the t's at the original inquiry we wouldn't have got into all this split decision/judicial review nonsense in the first place.
  14. I think the single biggest mistake was taking the original TVG inquiry too lightly. I'd say they got everything else about right. Tagging the new stadium to the world cup campaign was exactly the right thing to do. Getting the then leader of the city council on the front of the evening post waving her "bring the world cup to Bristol" flag was a classic. Even the Lib Dems had to support that and that meant supporting a new stadium. I doubt it would have got through planning without the world cup carrot. They so nearly got it right.
  15. Fans standing up and stewards turning a blind eye is different to increasing capacity by 3000 due to designated standing areas. I know some clubs with older grounds still have standing areas are still allowed to use them, but has anyone in the top two divisions been allowed to build a new standing area recently?
  16. Do you know which clubs these are? I don't think we'll need the extra capacity unless we make it to the Premiership and I don't think they allow standing areas. I have a feeling pro standing football supporters are going to be disappointed as this is about rugby, not football. At the moment, I'd rate the chances of standing at Ashton Gate to watch football as similar to bringing back smoking.
