  1. Seems they had two directors and now only 1 is allowed in. So that's 50% of them who will be locked out. Sounds like a regular away match.
  2. I'm sure that if Flint was in any danger of leaving then we wouldn't have been looking to loan Hörður out too. Plus, if we were short I'm sure Bailey wouldn't be at RB and Vyner would get in instead. So currently we still have 3 of our 5 first team CB's fit. Ps - get the **** in!!
  3. Why would we want that. Rivalry is one thing (and yes, a good thing), but surely Mr Lansdown would be better off witnessing the demise of the other team, which over the course of a few years / generation would mean that there are many more potential supporters of City. If there is no Rovers, then all football fans in Bristol would only have one choice, meaning Mr Lansdown's pockets are lined more handsomely.
  4. I wonder how The Gap's birthday weekend went. Did it stay over in Newcastle?
  5. Partnerships are hugely important in football Es. Pack & Smith work very well together and have brought each other's games on very well in the last 3 years of their regular pairing. Pack has been poorer alongside Brownhill, agreed. My aim though is not to stoically defend him. It's more to repel unnecessary criticism - i.e. People saying he's awful and not worthy of a place in this squad, saying he can't pass etc etc. He's proven his worth over his time at our club and is rarely someone who deserves such a pounding as he's been consistently good over his time here.
  6. So, today they managed to beat a team that weren't even in existence before The Gap was born
  7. Ha ha. Now I know I've been whooshed by you for the last 2 hours. Well done bud, good wind-up
  8. Ha ha. I don't know anyone who has ever said they Korey is a better ballplayer than Pack. What that stat shows is that Korey has made 15 more successful passes in an extra 280 minutes of football! If you wanna go like for like I'm confident Pack would complete 15 passes in over 3 games.
  9. Doesn't try it as much as under Cotterill. But the reason he was under instruction from Cotterill to do it 28 times per game was because Cotterill knew he was very capable of doing it as he's the best ball-player in the squad. Not sure how Mr RedDave can argue against that.
  10. You mean aside from him being the best passer of the football in the whole squad yeah?
  11. I know. Even I, as one of Pack's biggest advocates, fully acknowledge that he's not had a great last 3 games. But his previous 50 or so saw him as our most consistent performer. Amazing how quickly opinion turns these days. For the record, I think his recent poor outings are down to 2 reasons : 1) he's someone who needs a run of games. He's never very influential off the bench as he's the type who feels his way into games. Certainly no supersub and he tends to lose form when he's in and out of the team. 2) he and Brownhill are not a good partnership. Smith & Pack work well together. Brownhill & Pack don't. Anyway, for people to say Pack isn't a very good 3rd choice midfielder, after being our most consistent one for 2 seasons at this level is frankly laughable.
  12. I know right. Coz his superb tackle didn't just change the momentum of this game, where he stopped a counter attack, we go up the other end, Flint should score immediately and then from the continued pressure we do score. But I'm sure you won't acknowledge Pack's important role in that goal.
  13. Brownhill just did as well. Are you going to be consistent in your criticism?
  14. Ah, the infamous Frenchay orange banner. @Bristol Rob Remember this one? First outing of the KLF.
  15. I must get my eyes tested. There are, like, loads of empty seats in that away end.
  16. Coincidence? The article in the Post about horse punching also contains a link to an article about favourite dog names? Darrell has no doubt been browsing that link Edit - oh, and a Sainsbury's advert. Ha ha, well played Post
  17. That 2nd half was as crazy a game of football I've witnessed in a long time. Whilst we battled well, make no mistake, we got lucky tonight. Outplayed thoroughly in the 1st half. 2nd half was pure madness. Every time we made a mistake in the middle or in their half they attacked so quickly and piled crosses in. We rode out luck massively at times. Was actually stunning when we took the lead. I was actually laughing more than screaming when we scored. It was that unbelievable that we went ahead. What surprised me the most was at 3-3 I'm thinking "hold on. A point here is great", and then I see Korey of all people bursting forward and vacating the midfield at every opportunity. We wanted the 3 points even though we rode our luck so much. Crazy half of football. Whilst outplayed and terribly fortunate, we did actually deserve the point through our tenacity, energy and desire.
  18. This line up. Whilst I don't think Vyner is anywhere near championship 1st team level, he is in our squad as the back-up right back, so if Pisano is injured then he's next man up. I'd rather this than moving others to unfamiliar positions. However, I'm not happy with dropping Pack. Our most consistent performer for 2 years now. And if you watch each of the 90 mins back again on BCTV you'll see what an absolute shift he's already put in this season. Smith has been quite frankly awful this season. If LJ wants Brownhill central its Smith who should be dropped.
  19. Not wishing to praise them at all, but Tom Nicholls will be a bloody decent signing for them. Must admit, I'm surprised.
  20. You were saying? Only joking, Glad the change has worked (and I'm no fan of LJ by the way, but he made a bloody brave call here).
