If I could bet on Baker spending more time in the treatment room than the pitch throughout any season.....I would be a rich man?   Seriously what is the point of Baker?  If he hardly ever plays?

Yea how dare he get knocked out, should just walk it off right? Always looking for a way out. Did you read what you posted. You think he goes out there trying to get head injuries??

We're talking about what their team, as opposed to our team, has achieved on the field of play!!

A point perfectly obvious, I would have thought  from my previous post.

Enjoy the rest of your angry evening.

Rooney's Derby have been left in a much worse position on and off the field by previous management than NP has at City.

Please explain then how they have accrued more point's than us this season? Your point being about on field play supposedly. They never even had enough players to field a team before the season started but grabbed any old free they could. We started the season with more than enough to field a first team and some, we brought in an experienced manager they have Rooney who was still playing a few years ago and had 0 managerial experience. Putting all that together why should we expect to be (minus their points deduction) in a worse position than them after 1/3 of the season?

You are right about the overall picture of course but it has to be said that Rooney is doing a remarkable job in more difficult circumstances than Nigel faces. Would that we were as hard to score against as Rooney has made Derby for instance.

I don't disagree with that and your right but I won't have people telling me Derby this season are a better all round club and that we should expect us to put up less of a fight against the big teams because of terrible management from a previous tenure. I have never been on NP out but this guy trying to tell me we should expect to be worse than Luton and Derby, do me a favour!!

In case it's escaped your attention, the trajectory of our club over the last year has been one massive downward spiral. A downward spiral like no other club in the entire Football League. No-one needs to know the inner workings of Millwall, Luton and Swansea to see that they are not on a similar downward spiral, nothing like it in fact. If you can't work that out, you need help.

t.Derby? Derby are better than us, a fact that strengthens my argument not weakens i

Derby have earned 17 points this season and only sit bottom thanks to a points deduction that has nothing to do with how their team is actually performing. If you can't work that out  your beyond help.

Seriously, losing badly at West Brom isn't the day to be throwing your toys out of the pram.

Derby are better than as a club and in a better position as a club ok I won't bother to reply anymore. A club in administration with points deducted who didn't pay their players and had the manager paying for hotels on away trips. Yea no intelligent discussion to be had here.

You're not comparing like for like.

Why are you comparing us to Millwall, Luton and Swansea? None of those clubs are in free fall like us.

I'll repeat, we should be in the Third  Division. The addition of 1 one championship standard player plus 2 from the lower leagues who are still learning the ropes has improved us but not by much.

I am comparing other championship clubs. How is that not relevant? Just because you think you knows the in's and out's of our club you don't have a clue regarding the internal workings of those clubs. You don't know what state their in. I also note you conveniently left Derby out of your example, any reason? Is it because they are in a far worse state than us but managed a competitive result maybe??

Regardless of what clubs bring in, what division they should be in etc etc, the bare minimum should be to leave it all out there and try to be competitive Today that hasn't happened.

Well if that's really what you want, what have you been watching? Because we've given everyone a game, bar Bournemouth and WBA. We've been competitive in every game, bar Bournemouth and WBA.

Both those teams were in the Premier League last season and everyone's perfectly aware of the gulf these days between that division and this one. Meanwhile, on form we're lucky not to be a Third Division team by now and the manager has been given precious little resources to change that around.

So what do we realistically expect, either today or in the short term?

It was always going to be a horrible struggle this season, never mind today against a superior opponent at a ground we do badly at.

Derby drew there. Millwall drew there. Luton game them a game and lost 3-2. Swansea beat them this season as well but it's asking too much of us to at least be competitive. Ok guess we shouldn't expect anything from our professional football club just because teams are deemed to be better. How did these other teams manage to live with them??

    Bristol City fans. So entitled….

we are where we deserve to be.

it’s laughable to think we can challenge in this league. Utterly laughable.

we haven’t got the players who are anywhere near good enough.

they’re mentally weak and have zero technical ability.

So its laughable as a City fan to hope that we can be competitive in matches this season huh? Nobody is asking that we win the league but I for one would like us to at least give teams a game and also if not too much to ask, win a home game. Does that seem unreasonable??

If we ignore the tackles and his age we do get caught out far too often on that wing.

No-one expected him to be a regular this soon - the mistake was probably starting him otherwise what is Simpson for if not his experience in this type of game?

We get caught out all over the pitch it's not exclusive to his side imo. Only game I have seen Simpson play this year was at FG and he was terrible. May as well let the lad get the experience and make the mistakes that will make him a better player. Hauling him off after 30 mins send's the wrong message to young players imo. This game was lost before we even kicked off.
