WBA and Everton switched to their second kits for the 1968 FA Cup Final, WBA played in white with red socks and Everton yellow shirts and socks with blue shorts. Although it didn't really matter as the vast majority watched it in black and white.
I was thinking of colour blind viewers

First impressions from someone who rarely watches women's footie: much more physical than I expected

Odd that it's white vs yellow. Normally you would expect one to change.

Maybe I am reading the article wrongly but I thought the writer implies we are playoff hopefuls?
Sorry, didn't mean to suggest we are

Fair assessment. Top 6 looks a mile away for us.

I have a spare ticket to Germany vs France on Wednesday at MK if anyone wants it! Free to a good home
Seriously tempted as I'm local, but I'm not really fit to drive 20+ miles and then sit for 2 hours, shame. Good luck finding a taker (you should put up a separate thread).

Semi-Final at 04.50 am tomorrow.
What a perfect time to get 2 weeks off with Covid - semi-final and hopefully the final on Monday morning.
I'll be coughing my support!
Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
I must confess with Le Tour on this whole thing has bypassed me, but I'll be watching tonight.

Firstly, I didn't listen to the interview (I live in Bucks)
But...HNM has a real bond with the fans, he is much liked. That is very much at risk here, does he know what it's like to play for us (or any club) if the fans have turned against you? Has happened with so many players in the past...

Being in Australia - no I didn't
Hence my question.
Apologies if you were triggered by my geographical location impeding my listening to a local British broadcaster
Calm down, sport, you could have said "I wasn't able to listen, I'm in Australia"

I had it in my head that at some point when I was little we absolutely battered the Slags, this must have been the game.

Welcome back. More Rob, please, he's a good boy.

So it's make or break for Vyner, fair enough. But if the manager thinks he should be given a chance, let's give him that chance. Our defence last season was so shambolic, it hardly warrants laying all the blame on one man.
Maybe he'll do a Bobby Reid...

So what is improvement?
Better cost per point in terms of £'000 on the wage bill ratio?

Bristol Live "exclusive"
Harshly treated by Nige? Would have offered that back up for Martin that most seem to be calling for.
If he were good enough to be back up for Martin, then L1 and L2 clubs would have fallen over themselves to pick up his contract.
-
I appreciate he's disappointed, but there's a reason that L2 and L1 teams said "pass" and he ended up in Ireland. However, no doubt Tinman will keep an eye out for him, should he come back to prove us wrong. I wish him well, but this article is a bit...petulant.

Yet another with talent bites the Ashton Gate dust!
Hmmmm...talent to burn, but wrong mindset...Tomlin, Jackie, who else fits that bill? Pure talent isn't enough. You have to spend a bit of sweat.

Usual shouts for "A Season with Verona", "Left Foot Forward" (we don't come out of it well!), "Brilliant Orange", I would add "tor!" by Ulrich Hesse-Lichtenberger, a history of German football, "Why England Lose" by Simon Kuper and Stefan Szymanski...and "Steak...Diana Ross" by David McVey, a wonderful story about playing football back in the '70s (and really cheap on Kindle (Bookie McBook))
Would love to read the Roberts book.

I think finishing 12th or above would be progress.
This. Top half of the table would be fine. Sort out the remaining high earners and blood some more youngsters. Give some of the young lads a season at L1/L2 level to blossom, then go again the season after.
