Just a shame Matty couldnt celebrate in front of the 20k travelling gasheads.....
Having lived in Oxford and met a few Utd fans, there's no love for the blue few there.
Wouldn't Oxford need to build their fourth stand to accommodate all the knuckle-draggers?

But not in a Championship game..
Hence my comment that he won’t score goals in the championship and he ain’t a striker.
I think we all agree now that was right he is not a Striker.
Has he scored a championship goal - no..
Not sure why everybody is so keen to say you are wrong when ‘clearly’ up to now I have been right....
For the record I think he could be a decent player but has to add goals. Let’s hope he does.
But if he adds goals, that will prove you wrong. Will you cope?

How good would it have been if we`d posted that on twitter when he scored?
Love it.
Hope he celebrated both goals.

Baffles me how whenever a transfer window opens, all the seem to want are former players back.
It's 'cos their wives miss them

But ones who is right (up to now)....
I said he ain’t a striker and he won’t score goals in the championship.
Goals scores in the championship= 0
By all means tell me when he gets a goal or becomes a Striker at Championship level.
I hope I am wrong and I hope it is with us.
He literally scored against a Championship team today.

Great game, great goal, great finish... pleased for him. Played well.
But Cup goals don’t count...
Still no goals... another week
Not saying I told you so, but...
You really are a prong

My favourite City player.
Mine is God Taylor, but that was many years ago. It's a different game now, more technical, much faster, better pitches, different balls (oo-err).
If we're looking back to that era for a player we could do with now, I would suggest Dave Rennie. Or maybe Shelton.

the words traditional winger is the problem in todays game there is no traditional wingers anymore due to the way sides play, how many times now do we all scream at the tv to whip the ball in and it gets passed back.i feel football is turning into a chess match.bring back alan walsh
Alan Walsh was a striker that Cooper converted to a winger. And he last played when I was in my late-teens/early 20s.
I am 51 now.
Let's look forward (sic), not back.

I’d agree with that to, drop the shoulder, knock it past the full back, sprint onto the ball and knock it into Robbie Turner, who chests it down for Taylor to knock it in, and then making your way from the back to the front of the shed.... That was my football when I was 16...
, as often as not, Smith's crosses ended up hitting a bus outside the ground.

As a ‘yoof’ I find it interesting that all this shenanigans of taking teams home ends and being segregated started in the 60s. But only a few years before fans would mix and back then it was more of family outing, depending who was at home on that Saturday.
The culture seemed to change quickly in a short space of time. What happened?
Mmmmm, I'm not sure it wasn't always there. My Grandad (RIP) recalled times when colleagues nearly came to blows at work over football - working with Cidereds and Sagheads was no different even back in the '40s (he was from Cardiff, BTW!)
As others have said, I think trouble existed, but it wasn't as organised or as widely publicised. The 1970s was when it all really kicked off.
My personal recollection is of games in the '80s, Millwall at home in c.'85??? We lost 1-0 and it literally turned into a riot, police dogs, horses, the lot, fans in the Dolman ripping up seats and throwing them at the Millwall fans. I was in the old enclosure and utterly terrified (I was 15). City had a pretty poor reputation back then, probably deservedly so. Our record on racism towards players was nothing to be proud of, either.

December 10th 1983 - apologies, I post this most years on this date - it was a very emotional day in our history - we were finally on our way back from oblivion ... under dear old Terry Cooper ... “1-0 down, 2-1 up we knocked Roverzzz...”
I bet Hurst still never has to buy a drink down our way. Apparently he was literally dead on his feet when he scored.

Well that's a sad loss for his family, but at least they now know.
-
It's tragic, a young man, etc. I'msorry for his family and offer my condolences.
I do think Cardiff and the media have overdone it, though.
Anyone remember Dean Horrix?

I forgot to mention the weather, we went at them crazy batshit at the start, and paid for it later on. A decent point.

The forest number 5 is some player bossed the midfield.
Agreed, he's a class act. Happy to take a point, we looked a work in progress with some rusty legs. Not sure about 442, we looked better when Smith came on and we moved to 433. Some loose passes and sloppy mistakes, but some flashes of real quality. Mid-table.

Some of their players have championss' league experience.
We're happy to sign players with championship experience.
