  1. Yeah, tbf I thought Vyner was good for 75% and Tanner was steady. That was an obvious foul , but as usual I thought we got the short straw on decisions. I would have gone 2 up top and subbed Twine, but he won’t do that . Not optimistic for a good game Wednesday.
  2. Apart from Max doing what Max does , no one worth a positive mention IMO. From 1 to 11 ( poetic licence ) they all misplaced passes , waited for things to happen , stepped off challenges , it was just very poor. What I would say is losing Dickie was massive , he would have added some control and leadership. I was a little disappointed with James in that respect . I don't blame LM for the team, Roberts played well as LCB last time , so it was reasonable to play him there. But so many off days , hard to explain , and Pring looks back to being shot on 70 mins after so much hard work . With nothing on the game really . I would have liked some pro active , positive Subs from the Manager, rather than the expected swaps at the expected time. I wonder what we will get Wednesday .
  3. There is a hell of a lot of "after you Claud" with our lot.
  4. It's so negative at times , Pring has James running forward inside for an easy 5 yard pass, and goes backwards.
  5. Almost like clockwork , and nothing to do with the state of play ..... Time for Subs
  6. I predict to shake it up a double "like for like" change
  7. I do like these clever balls , out of defence into space ... Not to a City player , but it is into space
  8. The touch, control , decision making and energy is non existent . Can't even see what's going on enough to have an opinion to how to change it . The look disorganised and clueless , we win a ball and hand it back straight away . The only good thing is that it's 0-0. Add that I have to watch the Sunderland feed FFS . Hope the 2nd half is better.
  9. Not at the races today, they look like the lot of them have just met.
  10. JKL right footed ? Roberts is the natural replacement , and played there last time out. Annoying having empty spaces on the bench though.
  11. Sorted by changing the phone number to the Wife's , worked first time FFS.
  12. I never have to log in , then I suddenly have to put in a code they send me that never arrives . I click on get new code and ..
  13. Anyone had the verification code page stopping you logging in ? I get as far as it says send a code to phone by message, but the message never comes. Can't see a work around , so I guess I have to wait to see if it's a problem at their end. On the Laptop I did get a message there was a problem with sending code, but not on the phone . Anyone else having problems ?
  14. Went to see Paul Weller last night, the new stuff sounded great . I've held off pre ordering his new album, but I've been convinced . Qualifies for "old music" too , as it's the first time I've seen him do Shout to the Top and a long time since I've seen him do Start.
  15. For those ho don't give a shit ?
  16. Take a look at the Robe De Kappa range , some are great, some wild but they have raised the Venezia profile. some would cause a riot on here
  17. I'll do one point at a time. 1) Retro ? .... Exactly what I said on page 1 , I'm bored with it now. Lets have a new design. 2) Design ? .... I wonder how much freedom they would be given at ONeils to submit designs. Would Jon want to be in on it ? The rest they can do. The size , hard to please all the people i guess , but there's no reason ONeils can't do , minimalist , vibrant red and quality materials. 3) Cost ? ... the Club must set the cost as we have been more expensive than other Clubs using the same manufacturers . I don't see that changing . If they sell 5,000 shirts at £50 ( £250,000 ) then reducing the cost by £10 ( 200,000 ) they would have to shift over another 1,000 shirts . They obviously don't think it works. My PoV is they are over priced for an average product that relies on the love of the Club over value for money. 4) Badge ? ... Well , with luck Jon would have been aware of the feeling about that and would have learnt a valuable lesson and wouldn't make that mistake again. 5) Proper manufacturer ? ... As I put in my post, City ( Jon ) signed a multi year contract with ONeils . How many "multi" is I don't know , but I expect it's 2 years minimum , though IMO it implies 3 . I think we are with them for the coming season , but looking at the away , black kit , maybe they can come up with something good . I know that shirt has the logo from around 1974 , but if it was plain or patterned black it would be decent . I think much of what we have disliked of kits recently has been down to Jon Lansdown . The Robin , over reliance on Retro etc . I don't necessarily blame him for going with ONeils in the first place. They had to find someone to do shirts in about a tenth of the time it normally takes to design and supply shirts . But unless they held him to ransom , why sign a multi year deal with a fairly small supplier ? Then I would ask why let yourself be held to ransom when you would be one of their biggest customers ? The answer is it was Jon L ! In short , most of it IS too much to ask.
  18. Hands up those who had to Google it
  19. Fair play if you read that Graham . I started , saw the block of text and scrolled on .
  20. Jon is going to surprise us and reveal the new ONeils/ City / Robe De Kappa collaboration isn't he * * * * I would forgive him almost everything if he did , they are brilliant designers *** *** Kappa , not ONeils
  21. I love that 76 shirt , and at some stage I would love to see it . But for the love of God can we step away from retro ! Sorry , I'm up to the back teeth with "harking back" or celebrating" . How about a modern style design for a change . I love the black one this year, but that has the City logo from 74 ish. I don't mind the pale yellow ( logo is still shite ) , but that is a version of an old shirt just like the Red one is. Then there is the Leeds "qualifying for a game in the next round" shirt . Last years Arsenal is looking back to 54/55 Isn't it time to do "new" ? In short , yes. Plus from the OS; The Irish sporting goods manufacturer signed a multi-year deal with City and will supply the Robins’ playing, training and travel wear ranges moving forward. The one thing I wonder is, do they have the same level of design ability as someone like Hummel or Castore , if not then that leaves the door open for Jon , which is worrying.
  22. If you're talking about losing players to other Clubs , they would already be aware of all those players without a Pen photo and Bio. And they don't play behind closed doors. As for the Media Dept ? Who knows. With how long it takes to run a site, I would think 2 kids straight out of College could cover it.
  23. He was out for a long time, then it looks like he was pulled early when trying 2 starts on the trot. There could be some protection taking place for him. It almost looks like he starts every other game , plays in most . The last game him off for Semenyo , without even seeing the game you can be sure that was tactical. First year in the Prem and playing at least a part in almost every game he's available, at his age I'd say that was good.
  24. What have you made of Joe James ? I like the look of him , but I thought James (?) Taylor looked a real prospect , I think he's at Yate now.
