  1. Conway & Wells have looked a proper partnership up front, the service has dropped off of late. Weimann is wasted at WB. Semenyo needs to be used as an impact Sub until he is forcing his way into the team. King fit or not has to step out for Atkinson. We will not change to a back 4. So.... Max Vyner - Naismith - Atkinson Tanner - Scott - James - Pring Weimann Conway - Wells
  2. Watching us at the moment is the equivalent of having a face only a Mother could Love. If you ain't a Fan, you ain't going out your way to watch.
  3. I don't know anything of him or why he wants to leave Palace, but appears to be a cracking appointment. Specially with the little Tweet from 3Peaps. EDIT: Ok, so was CEO at Palace from 96 and after a short break has been working as consultant for Palace. Did 26 years with the Club , so no fly by night.
  4. IF and that's a big if Pearson did go, we would need a coach and a good one. Someone to get a tune out of the squad we have. We would need to look at lower League options as we aren't a big draw ATM. We would need him to be OOC or near the end as we have no money. I think we would need someone with experience. Someone to make an immediate impact. Not sure that one person exists TBH.
  5. I don't like playing players out of position, or playing players just to get them into the team. We've got away with it previously, but when we aren't scoring loads, those little errors or problems are highlighted. We have been a little unlucky with Wilson getting injured twice, then when he was fit Sykes had been doing well. Who knows if we would have been more solid with him there. After King had a hand in both goals conceded against Stoke , I expected a change there. Because of his Pressers, it can feel like Pearson being bloody minded and playing him to make a point, specially as he had been criticised for his choices. Apart from not seeing much of an improvement in defence, I do question Pearsons Subs. I couldn't be there yesterday, keeping up with the game through the BBC site was tough. Seeing the Subs was baffling. I know I'd read we were poor in MF and that Scott wasn't great, but he took off 2 MF's and put on a striker & a WB. Not sure how we ended up but I saw some of the last 10/15 minutes and it didn't seem like we bossed MF after the changes. It seems Pearsons fall back strategy, no thought of how we will make chances, just throw strikers on. I've supported NP, then when I've got a bit fed up at least I can reason what has gone on. I think he's done an ok job in restructuring and cutting costs. But it has to be getting near the time to push the Panic button. That said I have no idea how we could afford a change, or who we could get, or who would want the job with no money, let alone who I would feel confident in making a difference. I was hoping to get safe and then reassess in the summer, I think Steve's hand may be forced before.
  6. Couldn't be at the Gate , but this is as predictable as me missing the first goal of the game I went to today . Even a stopped clock is right twice a day.
  7. I think it was Cov away last year, they waited until I went for a Pee. First time for almost 40 years I’d missed a goal. typical ?

  9. Arrived early at a restaurant last night. Manager said "Do you mind waiting a bit?" I said "No" "Good," he said, "Take these drinks to table 7"
  10. Came across this link and thought one or two of you may be interested. Terry Hall on Piccadilly Radio , with assistance from Timmy Mallet. Don't let that put you off, an interesting and eclectic Mix of music, and of course the thoughts of Terry Hall.
  11. I'll be in Essex watching Chelmsford Vs Braintree. I'd rather be moaning about how I'm getting to the Gate, but them the breaks.
  12. I'm with you there. I do think we have played better than the results we've got recently. Should possibly have beaten Sheff U & Stoke, with a decent slice of luck might have beaten Watford. That said it's going to be hard getting any run together while constantly shooting ourselves in the foot so regularly. Sorry read it too quickly obviously . Just checked and today in 2007 they were 13th , interestingly 2 Playoff teams are around the same place in the table.
  13. Summer Olympics are in Brisbane 2032 so the one after is *2036*. It'll be a busy summer that one.
  14. Not true pongo, as these two shots show. Pretty sure we were up there all year and only dropped off later on. Now Forest last year were 16th around this time last year, and on fewer points than we are. I still honestly believe we could go on a run, at times we look good enough to sneak top ten. Of course that would mean cutting out a large percentage of the stupid errors that have cost. Also a little more luck and a few Pens would come in handy. Not totally out of the question yet.
  15. The amount of money that the heads of FIFA must have got from Russia & Qatar, they probably have it "fixed" in the diary all ready.
  16. So .. World Cup ........ 2022 - 2026 - 2030 - 2033 - *2036* Euro Champ's . . 2024 - 2028 - 2032 - *2036* Anyone else see an issue in the future ??
  17. I remember being pulled up for saying Sykes could possibly be our RWB. Which as he hadn't played there before was fair enough. But I couldn't see where else he could fit in. Then we add Wilson, having already signed Tanner previously. Then his competition in MF would be Scott, James, King, Williams, Massengo, Bakinson even Benarous . As Sykes could be seen as a 10, that would put him against Scott, Benarous again and Weimann. Although it worked out ok when Wilson got injured, and Sykes was very good to start with, the signing makes little sense. As for Klose, it looks like he's here until the Summer , with an option for another year.
  18. I agree about the yellow cards, he needs that aggression and it's brilliant he's been like that from the start. What I would add, he is smart enough and aware enough to realise he has to stop a break. He's "taken one for the Team" on more than one occasion. He has also managed his game well enough not to look in danger of a 2nd Yellow, so far. Agree again, and it's a funny one. He was put on free kicks from virtually the first minute, and his delivery was very good. Free kicks and corners were dangerous and consistent . Lately he has been erratic , enough so they have haded them off to others. The cross for Pring's goal was back to his early standards , lets hope he can keep it there.
  19. Absolutely. We found the staff there are great too, very friendly and helpful. Check out their Instagram , very funny.
  20. This is turning into it's own legend. We have recommended Urban Tandor to so many friends, for this dish alone .
