  1. Seconds left and James and Naismith can't get a cross into the box, loads of corners mostly wasted.
  2. How is that not a Pen ...... sorry I forgot who I was talking about for a second
  3. From scrappy to happy Good work by Pring, TBF we've made chances . Sharp work by Semenyo.
  4. Reminds me of someone that doesn't want to head it, but feels he has to jump to let the boss see
  5. Semenyo will never score with a header. Never looks like he actually wants to head it .
  6. We really don't seem to get that bit of luck, good save by Max straight onto the guys head. Need to start playing quickly.
  7. Reporting back. I had the Duck spring rolls, very nice , and the Kerala Beef Curry which was excellent. The Wife had Tandori Lamb chops which were very nice and we shared Bombay Aloo & Rice. Everything was delicious and the service was very good. With drinks (Inc bottle of wine) for 4 of us it was just over £150. We will definitely go back.
  8. Off to Rocksalt tonight, new one for me.
  9. So that means they won the 2nd half 3-2. Surprised they haven't tried to claim some points.
  10. We've all felt like it, but to actually do it ? Not sure whether to laugh or applaud.
  11. Great work ethic , but I get he gets the hook as he does a hell of a lot of work, he'll run himself into the ground for the team. Definitely building his stamina. His movement has been great, very intelligent , if our midfield starts to shine again, he will. TBF there were signs the other night.
  12. TBF I really like TC, and his partnership with Wells has been very good. But I think we need to get AS going and Tommy could be better for a little rest.
  13. I would not have wanted to split Tommy & Nahki, but Semenyo strikes me as one of those players that need games to get up to speed . I thought he was way off to start, but by the time Wells came on he started to make an impact. Conway works his nuts off but relies on service, AS can make his own chances. I think rotation makes sense, get him to the form he has shown, like around the Fulham game , and he can be un playable. Wells is the real experienced goal scorer, so I would rotate Conway & Semenyo, let one run himself out and add fresh legs when (hopefully) the chances happen. On the last 15 minutes V Millwall I'd start Wells & Antoine at Cov
  14. That is really mean ? and would be incredibly funny
  15. Nope, not weird. Absolutely normal to have doubts after all this time. However ... Believing that someone is pumping Millions and Millions into a Club with the sole purpose of not getting success ? That would be truly Weird.
  16. I think you'll find a fair few of those you say are backing Pearson , agree with you on this point. But it's from where we move forward. We have no money to spend or pay Compensation, so we won't get a "Name" manager anywhere near the status of NP. We will not get a good up and coming Manager as we have no money to spend and are currently not an exciting prospect. We could get lucky with a Wild Card appointment, but we haven't got lucky except for Cotts in the last 10 or so ? There are many things I don't particularly like about his decisions and choices, but I think he has done an important job, which isn't finished. IMO , I think we get through to the summer and safety . Then I really think NP's position will be at least looked at and more likely moved out or up. Then we look for someone to take us forward. Potentially we could have a big turnover in the squad , the next man could get some reasonable money to set us up for next year. But lets not underplay how much the Club has changed under Pearson's guidance.
  17. Moving RA central and Tanner to WB made us look stronger and much more balanced IMO. I hope he sticks with it.
  18. Bristol Live's Mark Taylor has given us the "Five exciting new Bristol restaurants to check out in 2023" One of the big new city centre launches is Muse Brasserie, which replaces the short-lived Prince Street Social on the ground floor of Crown House in Prince Street. Chef Director Franck Grillet has built up a formidable reputation at the original Muse Brasserie in Cheltenham and the restaurant’s fusion of European and Asian cooking is sure to prove equally popular in Bristol. After a series of brief residencies and pop-ups around Bristol, including a short stint at the Bristol Old Vic, Grano has just opened its first permanent site in Old Market. It has taken over the site of Glitch, which is where it held its first pop-up in 2018, and Piedmontese chef Alberto Noriega is serving fresh seasonal pasta dishes, meat and vegetarian main courses and, of course, Grano’s much loved tiramisu - regarded by many to be the best in Bristol Pizzacci is scheduled to open on the Promenade at Gloucester Road in early 2023. It’s the latest venture from the team behind Bosco Pizzeria on Whiteleadies Road and although they are keeping the menu a secret until they launch, pizzas (whole or by the slice) and soft serve ice cream are promised, as well as frozen cocktails. Bristol’s blossoming plant-based food scene promises to get even better when the city gets its first branch of Pastan, which is due to open soon in the old Friska cafe site on Prince Street, just off Queen Square. Boxhall food hall is now due to open in the summer of 2023. The converted sheds on Welsh Back will feature seven kitchens for local independent food businesses, chosen by well known Bristol chef Josh Eggleton.
  19. If you think back over your last 20 years how many of your decisions that turned out not to be great, did you know before hand would poor ones ? If you think SL has spent hundreds of millions of his own money, deliberately trying not to be successful, then I think you need to seek help.
  20. Agree to a point , I would say we could have won many of those games and should have won some. Our recent run results are awful , but even games we haven't been brilliant we have been the better side, like yesterday. I've often said you finish where you deserve over a season, but break that down and it looks slightly different. Just looking at the Hull game, that was little short of robbery . Even with our letter of apology saying they shouldn't have had a Pen and we should have had 2 it still bugs me. I will say we need to start scoring to make sure we get what we deserve from games though, but I'm thinking more about performance. We have been in all those games so it's just a little change of luck or more killer instinct. Yesterday a couple of chances fell to the guy with 20 goals last year, you would expect him to hit the target at least.
  21. We did pretty well against a confident, strong physical side. They created very little and the best effort was blocked by Atkinson (the one that hit the bar). The Vyner / Atkinson / Naismith tweak seemed to work well, I hope he sticks with it. Atkinson can be the no nonsense CB in the middle and the other 2 can play a bit, it worked. Pring was good and although Tanner obviously doesn't carry that threat going forward that any of the other might, I thought we seemed better balanced and more solid. Never once did we allow them to bully us and never really got caught on the ball, yet we did manage to carry and pass the ball a fair bit. We did have to go longer at times, and some was pretty aimless I must admit, there was a plan to hit the space behind the FB/WB position, the same as we did at Rotherham.
