  1.  Just listened to the whole hour, is it me or doesHamer really not have a clue what is going on, also thought it was telling when asked if there was any enthusiasm for the mem and leper colony revamp he only mentioned himself, wally and dopey not Hani or old man Wacky. I would be very concerned if I worn the quarterz.

He was at the game at Weston last week, the first time I have seen him in the person - there was something not right about him, he had this really odd stare about him

I was stood next to him and stewart, Marcus could not have sucked up anymore if he tried.

Oh and their supporters have no idea how the offside rule works.

I think this is indeed what the future holds for them; I await the comedy hour when Geoff interviews the new Chairman on "Having a Gas".

"Well Mr Henbury; I understand that the ground has been sold so the council can build an incinerator, Stu Sinclair is back to begging in the precinct again, you're renting at Twerton again, the club never owned the training ground in the first place because it was bought directly by Dwane Sports, and you're bottom of the fourth division.  It's not looking good is it?"

"You been listening to them gurt Teds, Geoff; it's all going really well.  I have total faith in myself as owner and anybody who doesn't isn't a proper gashead.  We have lots of assets but they just don't show up in the accounts and our league position is in no way reflective of the way that we have played in those games, all the referees are secret Teds who just want us to lose."

There is no way that is Henbury Gas in that interview, that answer is way too well thought out and put across for the to be him.

If one was to suppose that the largest stadium likely to be built will be 20,000 at the Mem site. The owners (whoever they were) would always be on the lookout for available land for a new stadium. However unlikely it seems today there must always be the forward thinking that BRFC could be a premiership club some time in the future. Where a stadium able to be expanded to 45,000 + even if not initially constructed that size would be a desire ,should the club wish to be successful at that level.

The Princess of Wales tucked behind the London Inn in Bemmy used to be ran by a Rovers fan and a few gas used to go in there, they were harmless enough though

That must be fairly recently as I used to go in there, no sign of the six fingered kind then.

A made up story of how a man’s love for a woman and his love for football may be reconciled.

This bloke’s wife gets a job in a different City so he has to move and then make a weekly trip of hundreds of miles to work at his favourite football club. The commute goes on for a while till he gets fed up and decides he has to put his family first so he starts applying for jobs at football clubs near his new home. One club doesn’t have a vacancy but they are flattered because they have never had such a smart person apply before so they use all their ingenuity to engineer a position. They put out an advertisement on their website saying they are looking for someone who must have experience of working at a professional club and give one week for applications to be in so they know only their man is likely to be in the frame. It all runs smoothly, the family is reunited and the new recruit is announced in a funfare of publicity.

Then the kind of bad luck which has plagued the club for years rears it’s ugly head again. They suddenly remember they already have someone doing the job which the new bloke has been brought in for and this gives rise to a lot of conjecture and suppositories. The old bloke who does the job is not very happy and there is even talk of constructive something but construction is not an activity which happens very often at this club. He is in such a bad way, doubled up with stoicism, that some people think his dis is about to be carded but luckily it is just the way he is sitting.

Anyway, the club issues a statement which smooths all the ruffled feathers of the birds in the overgrowth of brambles at the imaginary training ground and they all live happily ever after. Till the new bloke’s wife gets transferred back to Sussex.

Mr Tann ( another one that would suit the club).

Do you work for BRFC?. You seem to be very well informed, I know it's all riddle and rhyme but it is very insightful.

    He's entitled to his views.

It just so happens that just about everything he comments on is misinformed, small minded, politically correct tosh!

I didn't say he wasn't, just why have we got to have them thrust down our throats by the EP all the time.

His safe standing views go against all the expert research and facts.

Not only that, the "tent end" is cheek by jowl to the street behind, that would have to be the thinnest stand ever.

The home end (no idea what it is called) is also pretty cramped to the houses on whatever the road there is ? Filton Ave?

Only on the sides is there really sufficient room to expand.

The side stand with the so called boxes is probably the most cramped out of any of the others, there really is no room behind it.

  9. It's ok though wally's going to buy them a bigger better shinie new stadium as plan B, that's why he has been visiting Brighton and MK Dons, going to be 30K plus.

i have no words to describe how thick and deluded they are, they will be lucky to have a club at the end of this saga. It's like they have dismissed the £10 million charge on the minimal, oh well not my problem.

  10. So he's  not a sag at all, it's the Rovers supporting editor throwing him a few quid to be photographed in stadium Chernobyl wearing the famous quarterz scarf. Seems to run in the supporter base, you have to support a premier league team in preparation for when the inevitable happens and non league comes calling again.

"Worth noting that all the teams with higher attendances have large all seater stadia. It's hard for us to average over 10 000 when that's not far off capacity."

Is it just me that can't find any logic in this?

Of course there is logic to it, GASLOGIC Innit.

    No we haven't!

I went with licencing to Gloucester roads and spoke to the pubs re any concerns they have and offered advice for the day.

No talk of "Teds" was mentioned by the "old bill" or the pub licensee.

I was going to ask if that is the best part of their ground but I can't, so can someone tell me if that the least awful bit. I built a nicer hen house back in the summer.

To be fair it has been improved since this photo was taken, they have put a canopy over the side door....
