  1. definately 100% feels like they are pushing at what they can get away with. but TBF, if they have made the change at least thats a positive. lets take that. it's easy to constantly berate the club (and boy, do they make that easy!) but we need to acknowledge when they do it right.
  2. yes, can confirm it works. thanks for the help @JerrySLO
  3. mine? that'll explain where it went at least....
  4. I had repeated fraud problems with PayPal over the last year, and despite regular custormer services emails, nothing happened. I closed my account and won't be going down that road again! really need the club to offer working functionaility for regular credit options. @JerrySLO - can you enquire please, obv the offer of 'earlybird' prices runs out. so there is a dedline here :)!
  5. trying to renew at the early bird price and i cannot enter card information on either Safari or Chrome the entry fields are not working
  6. depends on when you bought the original package (i think) - mine renewed today at 13.00 (!) so i watched Pompey and cancelled this morning. and yes the early bird runs until end of aug.
  7. just be aware if you bought the package last year they will auto renew at £170 unless you cancel. i have just cancelled mine and will go back in with an early bird offer at £140.
  8. i suspect they are using those generic marketing website tools which apply any logo to a visualised design - ie, not the real thing. the sort of thing that applies 'your logo' to mugs, shirts, cushions etc.
  9. we are red and white, the Gas are Blue and white. for me there is a clear identity that is easy to carry into our 'brand' (apologies) and it doesn't involve the colour of our rivals. (and whatever the gap, they remain our rivals surely, as do sheff utd/wed, Man Utd/City and other shared city teams) we have f ucked around with the kit these last seasons in a way that just whiffs of money grabbing, it's not unique, it's a sad indictment of corporate football. but it would not be difficult to have a home kit, with associated training wear that was red and white at it's core. could still be interesting and contemporary in it's design, but badge branding and colour could be so much better defined. these last two seasons though are just a shambles in terms of all of the elements of our identity. (I've banged on about this enough really ) The away kit cycles between white and black, and purple (fans fav) and now this godawful lemon / see through yellow. (they can't even get that colour right) but where blue comes into this i'm not sure. out of interest, do any of the other 'red and white' teams have blue within their range?
  10. even so. no excuse. esp for a PR photo
  11. great news, but why do a promo shoot in a blue top FFS!!!!! more of Junior Lansdowns stupidity we are RED can we please stamp on this.
  12. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2023/jul/14/reading-mess-men-women-relegated-squad-part-time explains why our friendly was cancelled. pretty shambolic tho'
  13. good to see Big Nige making a reappearance https://www.theguardian.com/football/ng-interactive/2023/jul/11/david-squires-on-callum-wilson-art-collection Mods: there may well be an ongoing David Squires thread somewhere, please move if the need / urge arises.
  14. just a genre within animation. I think Marine Boy was more 'economically made' than intentionally 'Anime'
  15. re Cav - i don't think anyone saw that final Giro stage happening - he thrashed the opposition then. he will be well fired up, i think the 3 rd stage is one where he will have his eyes on it - just hope he doesn't crash out like in Yorkshire when he tried too hard
  16. I really like the keeper kit!!!! esp with the green ball
  17. I agree 100% “Design is the silent ambassador of your brand.” - Paul Rand. Lets just think on the 'blue' thing for a moment. We are historically Red and white, always have been - thats our core identity in football terms. Blue is and has always been associated with our arch rivals. With the inclusion of Rugby at the ground, Blue as a visual theme has snuck in, but there is obv clear water between us as teams - even allowing for this Bristol Sport umberella Brand stuff. Managing the City 'brand' and identity surely means identifying what Fans recognise as sacrosanct, and that is keeping Blue out of the equation ? (and I appreciate that there will be some fans that are 'meh!' about this, but why don't we run a poll to see how it plays out?) I know football is tainted with business nowadays, Cardiff bluebirds/Red Dragons is an example of that, plus the endless renaming of stands - replacing history with commercial sponsorship But there is no reasonable reason for introducing Blue as part of our kit, it just makes a mockery of our identity over a very long period of history. If our design team aren't capable of designing training wear and kit that uses our identity then they should be replaced. ********. it's quite simple. 'COME ON YOU REDS'
  18. meanwhile back in the 80's.... https://www.theguardian.com/music/2023/jun/27/a-nuclear-reactor-of-music-the-story-of-simple-minds-classic-album-empires-and-dance
  19. I would be equally surprised and horrified if he were actually sitting, tongue sticking out and doodling away, but surely he IS responsible for signing this shite off? or does the Teflon gene run in the family? the lack of coherent branding is pretty awful
  20. What I can't understand about this stuff is there is absolutely no consistency in branding (basic stuff) we had redveloped the main club badge to presumably secure copyright on it and within no time Jonny 'Crayons' Lansdown is pushing out that daft 'new' robin design. (the one that tries to make an effing Robin look like a hawk ...)and the old (new) logo is gone?? The O'Neils shirts just copied shamelessly from the Hirerite design - it's not a 'nod to the past' when it's just a copy. The amateurish misuse of the serifed font on the on screen materials last season was another idiotic choice Now this? It's Blue..... presumably we've crossed the rubicon on this then? Not a bit of blue, but blue - so our core branding of having a red and white strip is ignored?, the logo is ignored? another 'oooh look at this ' font is used. Please help me understand. is it generational? am i getting old? or is Jon Lansdown absolutely terrible at design and should NOT be let anywhere near the club...
  21. Peter Hawkins did the voices, he was also Captain Pugwash!
