  1. One psychological trick we should employ is “forgetting” our own kit and having to wear the home side’s away kit, it will bamboozle the other team so much they’ll drop into the relegation zone in the last ten minutes of the season and get pumped out of the entire EFL system into non-league. It would be hilarious.

In the 2012-13 season, we comfortably beat Cardiff (champions), Watford (3rd and playoff finalists) and Crystal Palace (playoff winners) at Ashton Gate. Our finishing position that season? Dead last. It’s not a particularly noteworthy statistic really is it?

That was a mental season, we scored 4 past both Palace and Cardiff in late August, after starting with a narrow defeat to Forest, yet by the end of the season we were no-hopers and very deserving of relegation.

    Taking a positive viewpoint.

If, before Christmas, someone had said that we'd come away from away games at a very in form Watford and fighting for their lives Birmingham, with a 4-1 win and a dull 0-0 we'd have taken that..

It's that the results were the "wrong" way around that makes it seem frustrating.

But also it better serves a push for the Play offs for us to take 3 points from a potential rival for a top 6 spot and only draw with relegation battlers rather than the other way around, even if no shots on target feels a bit frustrating

Every game is hard, especially away from home - we have confidence unlike Brum, but they still have quality. No complaints with a point if we get it.

Easy to forget that they outplayed us for 90 minutes earlier in the season, one of the most one-sided 0-2 defeats I’ve seen us suffer at AG. They may be all at sea as a team but they still have quality individuals. Like you say, an away point would be decent.

  5. Bonkers to declare him the right appointment so early, we were two points off the POs when NP was sacked, and now we’re one point off. What we can surely all agree on though is that it’s been a very encouraging 9 points from 9, three wins in three different circumstances, and two very winnable games to come.

  6. Manning was very complimentary of his leadership around the dressing room in the post-match interview, perhaps a suggestion that he’ll have a future role at city when he hangs up his boots? One of my favourite players of the last few years, great to see him score
