We made season by season increases in points under NP, yes they were very modest increases, but that’s good against a backdrop of massive decreases in player budget and the loss of our best players. He wasn’t the messiah but we did well, I think the financial context is crucial. We were a mid table side under NP but heading in the right direction; if that’s unlikely to change under LM I don’t see the point in the change. They should at least have made this clear when the change was made instead of the bollocks about having a top 6 squad (assembled by NP with very little money!). They have set LM up to fail.

We’re always at AG between 60-90 mins before KO, so they might just be bored as it’s quieter then, plus I’m 6 foot 4 so probably just look a bit shifty. My 4 year old daughter as well

The only time I’ve felt as disillusioned with the club is when Holden was appointed. I’m at 20 home games in a row without a win now. We’re not Real Madrid or Bayern, so I don’t expect us to win every game, but it’s not the defeats that bother me, it’s the lies. Still have tickets for the Sunderland game though. Maybe I’m to blame.

Why would anyone settle for top ten if we have a top six squad? I’m prepared to accept that a good squad can be unlucky with injuries and refereeing, but the senior leaders at the club need performance red lines of their own. If we’re outside the top half with a “top six squad” at the end of the season, I expect JL to go.

That’s all I’ve seen from Tanner all season, seems to panic if he’s on the ball past the halfway line and turns in or back and makes a safe pass, which is a shame as he seems solid in defence.

Really don’t understand how the prem comment is a dig, it’s just going to blow up in his face. He’s either admitting we’re nowhere near getting to the EPL, in which case they all lied to us when they sacked NP, or he expects us to get promoted under LM, which is a hell of reach after what we saw today.

I searched for Brian Tinnion and filtered it by Latest, there were 10-15 or so negative comments, the worst adjective I saw was “clueless”, and some comments were in response to his leaving post that Dastardly and Muttley posted in the OP. doesn't seem like he’s had absolute pelters, but some criticism and suggestions that he leaves along with JL and SL, and lots of references to NP leaving

You can’t blame someone else if you punch yourself in the face.

This won’t be enough to drag us up to the Play offs but will probably prevent relegation, but then the hierarchy will come out and state that “spending money for the sake of it” doesn’t work, when it was only spent to save their skin and prevent relegation anyway. And the cycle starts over.
