I've a feeling that the bottom line is that The Lansdowns either don't want, or can't afford, to fund Premiership football. That's why Steve is looking for buyer/investor to help fund the project. The aim seems to be "don't go down" rather than go for promotion.

You realise that this is where we are shopping with our League 1 manager.

Name a worse city game than that…

I know we lost but seven goals and you think now is better? I know we lost but seven goals and you think now is better? -
They soooooo want to be us. They will be playing in red next.

Merry Christmas to all you Marmite lovers and haters. Hope you all have the best day you can with your own circumstances. Stay safe all.

I seem to recall we didn't object when Scotty did it v's Cardiff. It's what some players do but boy can you end up with egg on your face.

Senior Reds today, guest Jon Lansdown

Maybe not speculation? Steve has noticeably moved back from the front line and put Jon, who until recently was just his eyes on the board, firmly in place as the leader. Remember Jon seemed destined to drift away overseas until a change of direction from Steve. Jon appears to have been told its his club now and to take the reins. Problem is he appears to have no idea about recruitment or delegation so has used his mates to help him out. In Gould and Pearson we had football men in the right places and slow progress was being made. Now it may be Jon saying to Steve "get me something new for Christmas dad because I've broken the football club you gave me last year". -

I was a member of Senior Reds a few years ago. I remember one meeting, pre redevelopment, when meetings were held in the Williams stand. Steve Lansdown was guest speaker and he was criticised by one member for running the club like a non-league club. Steve became very upset and said member was never seen again. Anyone else recall this incident. -
Are you Jon Lansdown.......?

Maybe keeping the lower (home section) linked to the concourse and separate entrances for away fans in upper?
-
Half should be plenty. Put them in upper half away from the pitch. I know it's not easy or cheap but if we want to get home advantage, it's got to be possible..
-
Redevelop the Atyeo and link it to the Lansdown concourse and give away fans the Dolman, closing the link to the South Stand concourse thereby giving us 3 sides as now, but including both goal ends. Having away fans behind the goal is stupid. It gives away sides an advantage that we could easily remove. Anyone like to finance that Steve?

Not surprised he felt uncomfortable in front of real fans with unscripted questions. Was he there alone? When I've seen him doing Q&A before he usually has a sidekick as back-up. -
Guarantees goals at AG on Friday.

Only one appearance? No game time there.

I've been quite critical of late of the whole club identity and direction. What I saw today was a team determined to hold on to a lead with bodies on the line and some great keeping from Max. I also felt entertained for once so if this is what's to come, bring it on. Having said that, Sunderland were very quick, slick, and clever. Dare I say, a level above us. Hey but we took home the 3 points. We'll done lads.

I've always thought it meant passing and playing the ball so that the receiver could take it without turning backwards or stopping. Basically playing the pass in front of the receiver.

Weimann..anything to keep morale up I suppose

You've managed to get positivity and ambition in the same sentence regarding City. That's all I want to see, even if we lose. I just want to be entertained at AG. Is that really too much to ask? -

I think this is true but I also think it's a negative aim. Much like the present set up seems to be more " let's not lose" rather than "let's try to win". -
This issue has been raised many times before and is always ignored by the Club. If it goes wrong on the pitch Saturday and the Mackams roar their team to victory, will the penny drop for the board at last? Personally I doubt it. As long as the money rolls in from a packed stand, the club won't care who is in there.

People are already voting with their feet. Don't be fooled by Downsy saying "today's attendance is 21500". We have been several thousand short of that recently. Yes I know it's never accurate but there are more spaces now.

Manning doesn't need 3 windows or patience from us. This squad is top 6 ready. Jon told us so.
