Give WBA 3500 and attendance will prob be 23 / 24000. Limit them to 2000 and gate will drop by 1500. Its simple economics and that's what SL cares about.

No one. We just try to play it safe. Well, I say safe. What I mean is boring

Kalas - Signed for Schalke04
marmite replied to Kid in the Riot's topic in All Things Ex Players and Managers
Agree but Kalas resigning would be good imo . -
I maybe dyslexic but I do love an anagram, and an anagram of "hot air" is "thick as shit".

Attack, attack, attack - attack - attack!
marmite replied to Lack of Action Man's topic in Football Chat
When asked at a Senior Reds lunch recently why we didn't have a Flint like player for height when defending and attacking crosses, Tinnion said we were looking instead to play fast, high press, front foot attacking play with players able to run for the full 90+ minutes. What the f#@k happened to that plan. -
The last word in your very good post sums up Bristol City perfectly from owner down to fans. Describe Bristol City in one word..............."meh".

Sorry but getting singing going is infectious. At away games the noise is better because you sing cos the guy/gal next to you is singing. 1000 away fans grouped together all sing together. At AG, home singers are tucked away in a corner as far away from the corporate boxes as possible, probably intentionally, so it doesn't spread around. I know people will say Man Utd and Man City games were different but they were rare exceptions. Ashton Gate atmosphere is flat since the redevelopment and apparently that cannot be changed because of H and S.

We should put home fans back in the Atyeo. The acoustics are far better there than anywhere else in the ground. 500 away fans can outsing the rest of the ground.

Plus 70% of our players.

I actually think Hot Air is their new owner trying to score brownie points for them..............and failing miserably. Let's shut him down now. He's taking up valuable space.

If we can't compete on wages for our targets and the home grown/developed talent is continually offloaded, then it appears that our best hope is the status quo. Are we really just hoping that we can stay in the Championship? Is that plan A and plan B?

Wasn't big Joe Jordan Scotland assistant also?

Condensed version. (Sorry Tone) We will sell the family silver every year and hope for the best.

No, owners should not manage football clubs, as City with SL proves. Having said that, it is his money, and if we ever do achieve the dream, be sure he will want it to be his name that shines brightest on the list of reasons why. He won't sit in the background.

I hope no other clubs show interest in any of our 1st eleven before tomorrow otherwise our medical team won't be able to cope with the "injuries".....and we will be fielding our youth team. Is Nigel really looking after the clubs best interest if he doesn't play our best player.(assuming he's not actually injured). Every point will be vital this season. We need to put out our strongest squad available whilst they're here. -
I'm in row 19 too and I have been know to get a little "moist" at times.?

The clue was in the word "hypothetically". -

Appreciate that but just supposing, hypothetically, that it was Preston who were bidding? Would we keep him out against them? -

Alex is our player until he's sold and as such, if fit, he should be in our team. Suppose we leave him out and the transfer falls through, it means we've left him out for no reason. Either sign him or piss off. You've all had plenty of time.- 5850 replies

I think he will stay ,sign a new contract, improve, add goals, and the next window we will be looking for 30 mil plus. Here's hoping.
