There are posters on here that do. Perhaps I know one of those posters. Know them well enough to be sure the very few bits of info I hear about are bona-fide, not bullsh1t? Imagine that.

But if you can't, I'd have thought the players' obvious commitment to our cause, and the manager personally, would speak loud and clear as to their attitude. Of course, there are none so blind etc.

    On the step you pop.

    "On the step you pop"

Just one it the reasons new posters probably don't get involved in the forum too much because of smarmy comments like that

on the other hand I've heard things that are not all sunshine and roses with one player but hey ho you just believe what suits your argument and I will do the same.

We don't have dead wood anymore - and we have Nigel Pearson to thank for that.

Every player in the first team squad now makes a contribution of one kind or another, on or off the pitch - we have Nigel Pearson to thank for that.

Unlike under previous managers, we no longer have leaches taking a salary but contributing nothing, spreading bad vibes with bad attitude. All that's gone. Thanks to Nigel Pearson.

    1 agree

    2 agree

3 we don't know the players personally to judge their attitudes

    But…

…what happens behind the scenes (in this recent past) has a very direct influence on what you can do on the pitch.

I don’t think you can separate them.

Wage structure, recruitment policy and making use of academy I think is something that pearson helped implement and would be shocked to see the club abandon that

According to Lansdown he wasn’t going to so was sacked. Reality is we will never know.

Agreed , but we need to move on its like Pearson is a bloody club icon. Thankful for what he did behind the scenes and I'm sure that foundation will be used in a way he had plans for, but on the pitch it wasn't very good at times. The amount of away games I've been to in the last 3 seasons where almost all the city fans booed the players and were not happy was alot more common than the pearson cult will admit. Like I said the hard work from how the club is ran is fantastic and I'm hoping that identity stays for a long time.  I'm looking foward to a new chapter now and seeing whats next !

What did the Lansdown see in the way Nigel teams beat Liams team a few months ago 4-1 and 5-1. That makes the believe he is the man to take us to the play offs. It beggers belief.

I saw another comment that they spoke to FL but he could not understand what job they were asking him to do.

That times like this i ntry and keep away from social medium, but i can not.

Said it on a previous page that Score line massively flattered us.

Who are you hiring then out of interest? No premier league managers that can beat premier League teams would come to us. The championship quality managers that have, with mixed success, beaten championship teams are quite uninspiring. At least here we are getting a forward thinking, yes untested, but attacking manager.

Don't play into it you will hear the dreaded...

we already had a manager in nigel pearson

Oh right. So the hierarchy won't trust a proven, experienced Manager but will trust a nobody with hardly any senior management experience and no Championship experience with cash to spend.

City are turning in to a footy version of The Office.

Nige get your head down mate it's over

We haven't got the players for that, been saying since the start we've got a load of runners and bar Naismith/Mehmeti and the departing Scott we've got no guile or creativity to get at teams like that.

Maybe so but different tactics and coaching could help with the added bonus of loan market and transfer window coming up ( If money is available )

It's a crap appointment. All week OTIB has gone in to meltdown about NP and rightly so. Then just a few days later City fans are lapping it up that we've landed Manning as the replacement for NP. It's embarrassing.

Lapping it up I think is a little over the top. Maybe looking foward to hopefully seeing city really attack teams and be more cut throat on the ball rather than it be as boring as it has been for a while now.

I don't have anything against Liam Manning - but in all honesty I know barely anything about him. Didn't we recently thrash Oxford?!

Good luck to him if it is him but how that is an upgrade on Pearson? - we'll all need some convincing. I don't look for 'big names' or 'marquee signings' - but I do tend to think that experience of achieving what is required is useful...Manning has a play-off on CV...but it's a big step up.

Couldn't remotely be described as an 'exciting' appointment at this point in time.

That game was very much oxford could of scored 3 or 4 in first half but we took our chances second half wasn't it ?

    are you Le petomane reincarnated?

Think if we are to progress the team we need to upgrade on james I think hes got lots of experience but lacks the engine
