Bristol City v Swansea City Match Day 5
redapple replied to havanatopia's topic in The Havanatopia Match Day Archive
I’m usually optimistic. I knew we’d beat United, thought we had a chance v City, but have a bad feeling about today. Maybe it’s that 7-0 still in my mind ? Hope I’m wrong. -
Don’t you League One sides have to worry about Round One yet alone Round Two before you join Championship and Premiership teams in Round Three. Forgotten about Chesham and Barrow ?

They haven’t a clue what they’re doing these days. One rule for one .....

You must be my age. Could have written that myself ! Never forget the Donowa Derby though .
-
They really could do with being drawn against Manchester United in the Cup..... oh they’re knocked out of all 3 competitions for 2017/18 !

Seems that Wael is trying to stop a development in Newquay. "People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones" springs to mind.

Have you ever watched Michael McIntyre's comedy roadshow ? It's funny first time you watch it but after seeing 3 or 4 repeats .....

This Hamer character comes across like the sort of square bloke who wears his pin-striped shirt tucked in to his white Y-fronts. Very John Major.

To make any Stadium financially viable they'd need to have a 20,000 min capacity. They could go for a 13,000 Capacity 3-tier stand where the Blue stand currently is , but without reducing the size of the pitch to tennis court proportions I can't see what they could do with the rest of the ground. Their only hope now is to merge with Forest Green, Newport or Clevedon . I hope it makes some of our lot appreciate SL a bit more .

I couldn't give a toss. Well that's a lie. I don't expect anything but disappointment. I don't need disappointment in my life so I will go to the cinema. This whole Catch 22 scenario is doing my head in. Can I just wake up on Monday morning to find out City beat Wigan and LJ has been replaced by Fleetwood's manager ?

Seen us play worse this season (often). There seemed a decent amount of effort. Should have won it really as Burton were no great shakes with anything to worry about. They were however more organised than us and there stems the root of our problems. I feel Bryan needs to be sent to Bury/Fleetwood as his confidence has gone and 3 games in a week is asking to much of Wilbs. Bobby Reid is neither a good offensive or defensive player and anyone who thinks he should play ahead of Brownhill or Patterson is deluding themselves with local pride. Tomlin is an enigma. He had the potential to win matches alone but when it's not going his way he gets worse and worse as his temper goes. Drops back to far and gets in way of Smith/O'Neil and leaves Wilbs isolated. A good Coach would know all this and I'm not even that. Just somebody whose played and watched a bit of football for along time.

I remember 3k away fans at Chester in our last ever game in league 4 many years ago .

Credit where it's due . They're having a good season, the manager must be half decent , and the Centre Forward can't stop scoring . They could well be in the shake-up come next May . I might be alone in my thoughts but it's good for football in Bristol .

In the history of Football I should imagine there's tens of thousands of occasions when teams leading by 2 have lost . Not unique to City at all . I'm sure there's been mistakes tonight by players and management , but get over it . I'm sulking as well , gutted , pissed off , the dog better stay out of my way , but count to ten , it's 1 game of 46 . You might not regret what you say , but what you say can make you look stupid . **** it I'm off to bed .
