  1. South stand includes the corner which is almost always over capacity. So you need to factor that in. There are a lot of under 19s under 22s etc in the stand as well. Some have had STs since being 5. This will drive a lot of them away. There will be a lot of unintended outcomes to this..
  2. No way has it been at less than 60%. Maybe last Sunday.
  3. They think that they're moving you to the Lansdown but actually they're pushing you away..
  4. They haven't read the mood. Expect sales to be really poor. At least 3000 won't renew. Can't see many new 'customers ' jumping at the chance to get a ST either. I can see the home game on a Wednesday in November vs Blackburn looking particularly sparse. These games are a. Up against Champions League and b. All on TV anyway. Sod all potd there... When people realise that there will also be more Saturday lunchtime/ Sunday lunchtime/ Friday night games as well it can only lead to people nor renewing. Club have taken a hammer to an acorn to resolve issues in South Stand.
  5. Whether he's a legend depends on your age. If you saw John Atyeo play, it's laughable to call him.a legend. If you saw the likes of Ritchie, Gow etc it's silly. If you go back to the likes of Walsh/ Taylor/Newman it's possibly beginning to make sense. The word legend is hugely overused.
  6. They tried a not dissimilar format for European rugby. It was ****ing shit. No context to games, especially towards the end of the groups. You saw the beauty of groups of 4 at the last World Cup. Copying NFL basically.
  7. Change ambitious to unambitious and you change Champ to chump.....
  8. This is another example of them missing opportunities. £500k it would've taken to keep the women's team in the WSL. Decent average crowd. Clear growth.
  9. It very much seems to me that lying is a norm for a number of City/Bristol Sport people. A culture where one can question no matter your position in the hierarchy wouldn't have people lying as a matter of course. But we don't have that do we? I don't think Pearson lied about Mcrorie. Suspect he simply didn't answer or gave a very vague answer.
  10. Amazed one of them didn't think, 'it might rain'
  11. They got it right then one left and the other one started telling them that they needed to do this and that so they got rid of him. They don't like being challenged
  12. Surely It's deliberate as he thinks it makes the club more attractive to a buyer (Less people to pay off). Steve has thick skin and hasn't exactly been shy in telling us that it's his club.
  13. Lam made a point of making it public. Pearson also made a 'discussion' with JL public. They both know what they’re doing with the media. Don't think Manning really does which leads me to think we'd not hear about it if it did happen.
  14. Good communicators use as little jargon as possible. It is also a sign of properly understanding concepts. If someone falls into jargon they're basically not mastering the subject. They're stuck in it.
  15. Basic coaching message 3 touch football. Control it manipulate it, pass it.
  16. Also kids football. Kick off time couldn't have been worse. Games tend to either be 10 30am or 2pm.
  17. TV deal has all non Saturday games live. Boxing Day, evenings etc Of the 34 weekend games, 1st games and last day games are all live. That leaves 5 of 12 each weekend live for the season. One thing they've then said is that all games will be rearranged way in advance. So we'll know in June all the kick offs up till New Year. Half our games will be on TV. Another 4 or 5 will probably be moved from 3pm Saturday to Friday, Saturday early, or Sunday early
  18. They do exactly this for Rugby. All dates were published with fixtures up to mid January. Gives people opportunity to request shift patterns etc or make alternative arrangements etc
  19. 5 of each weekend's matches won't be 3pm. Just hope that we are on Fridays. Sunday at lunchtime is awful
  20. Got to announce this week before West Brom and the break. Today was a load of shit. Boring rubbish. Why would anyone 'in their right mind' pay for that? Me obviously
  21. ...Having had probably 1 short training session. I suspect he's possibly best suited to being an analyst.
  22. So win 2 games, everything is wonderful, lose 4 in a row and its 'dropped off a little bit'. That there is relegation form . 6 points from 6 games. But when we played well there's a really good feeling. An observation he repeated. He should only release written statements. DM me Brian. For a small fee I'll write something coherent. Something that might begin to build some trust with the large proportion of fans who don't buy your bullshit.
  23. Jesus he should stay mute. Anyone starting a sentence with 'as I say is literally indicating that they are waffling.
  24. Sack him after West Brom as 2 weeks before next game
  25. Us, Sunderland and Brim 3 sides who sacked managers doing good jobs all of whom have suffered since. Just shows the real incompetents are the owners and Directors of Football
