He basically wasted any time we had left in the game to get an equaliser. Idiotic.
-
Things went south today when James and Weimann went off. We were being bullied and took 2 players off who know how to cope in those situations. They looked like winning all 2nd half.

It's not exactly as if the current system for referees is a roaring success is it? Hardly a succession of brilliant decision making happening with VAR. Something needs to change. Weird question. Implication of it is that you think the colour of the referee's skin doesn't matter, but in a league where a more than significant portion of players/coaches etc are black, it's a bit of a glaring 'inconsistency'. You do have to wonder what they hell is happening if this bloke hasn't reffed in the Championship. Most of our refs are either unfit or crap and sometimes both.

all Sky live games to kick off at 12:30pm on saturdays
The Bard replied to Never to the dark side's topic in Football Chat
Z Z It absolutely messes with kids football as it gets in the way of both morning and afternoon games. For example the impact of the City women v Man Utd game kicking off at 12.30 was a load of girls games didn't happen that day as clubs couldn't raise a side. Their players normally play in the morning and then go to watch games in the afternoon. -

Sponsoring rugby is an insult. Getting the name of your fiercest rivals read out Imagine if it were Watches of Cardiff?
-
Yep. But still a bell end
-
Hargreaves is, by a number of accounts I've heard, an absolute bell end.

One sure sign of someone lacking in intelligence is to treat those with intelligence as if they were the ones without intelligence. Even our thickest, knuckle dragging supporters didn't buy the top 6 line. If Manning has anything about him he will have realised by now that the players are less of an issue than the people he has to manage upwards.
-
Jargon in any walk of life is not good. It's basically lazy and indicative of a lack of wider intelligence.

First time in 15 years I am considering not bothering with a ST. I didn't have one before as I used to play on Saturdays. I'm beginning to not enjoy the whole experience and the re-establishment of amateurism by JL and BT has put me right off. Obviously I will change my tune if we have an upturn but previously it felt that there was a connection between the manager, players and fans and this was moving towards properly challenging. Now it feels like history repeating itself. The coach is clearly a football man but I very much doubt he can manage upwards as effectively as Pearson did. We will only ever get promoted if we do it in spite of the Lansdowns. Nige could've done this. Not sure we'll see anything other than our Head Coach jumping upwards or sideways when he gets the opportunity or obviously being sacked.
-
What was the fall out? Something Nige said or something behind the scenes?

Met are going to want to separate the 9,000 away followings at Arsenal, Spurs and West Ham. Prem teams only have 2 Christmas games (Championship 3) so Arsenal v Liverpool will be on the Friday. Primetime TV audience . We'll be Saturday, Spurs Sunday.
-
Well if its a foreign manager that changes everything. How forward thinking of them.
-
At least 35% of our fans are morons. Do you go to games? The bloke next to me on Sunday only opened his mouth to shout abuse. One occasion was when a midfielder gave the ball away. I made the point that he had zero options. Bloke sort of grunted at me Let's be honest, he's hardly a small percentage is he?
-
He'd have come here in a flash. Knows what we're about as a club and as a team.
-
Another delusional club owner/owners messing up a decent position. Probably. As Graham says he's too old for an insecure, younger owner. So, at least 35% of Sunderland fans are morons.
-
Exactly Graham. Some don't have the intellectual capacity to think though so we get this knee jerk rubbish. Weimann's pass to Conway first half on the left was our best bit of play all game
-
One of the good things about Nige was his clarity in being a counter attacking side. He wanted us to be good in possession but it wasn't for possession's sake. We had a way of playing that was different to most other sides. We look like we just want to be just samey.
-
Disconnected is the word to sum it up. It is legally their club and they are behaving like it. The sooner they piss off the better.

Norwich City home match thread

Improved under a manager who wants defenders to concentrate on defending rather than possession stats. -
Weimann has a flat in a converted famous old building close to the docks.
