That’s got to be worth a points deduction.
21 points at the start of next season will do.

You got to hand it to them mind. Imagine city doing that. South Bristol would absolutely buzzing!
Hand it to them? They’ve been handed a pub team full of kids. What Scunthorpe has done is included in the 2-5 letters of their name.

That’s not the end of it. They’ll get a couple more yet.

Balls out of the bath - they’re going up automatically.

I fear you may be right Tone. Never mind, let's hope there is some improvement next season, but I don't think it will be much different to this one. All the best to everyone and enjoy the break, see you next time.
I’m not convinced either. Not expecting us to pull up any trees next season. That said, I’ll take finishing next season 18 points from relegation right now as success.

Better still that they give them the third place in League 2 .
And play off winners also, just to be on the safe side.

Worth a bet that - I fancy them today for some reason.

At the time of posting this I think we’ve given away 25 points from winning positions (trusting Sky punditry).
We will always let SOME leads slip or there would be no score draws, but 25 points is a lot. With those points we’d be 3rd on 77 (ok as I said we would have dropped SOME of them anyway)
Looking at the league table, we have been scoring quite well - 57 goals - more than Sheffield U (56) - and only QPR have scored more (58) outside the top 5.
So, on goals scored we are 7th in the league. The reason we are where we are is our defence.
we’ve been better of late - and if we get it sorted for next season there’s no reason why we can’t be up there around the top 6.I’d say sorting the midfield is a higher priority and would ultimately help the defence anyway.

Average player
My mistake- slightly above average. The man, the myth, the Frank Lampard.

Was about to say the same. Calling him an average player is ludicrous, world class in his prime.
Frank Lampard “world class”. Dear deary me.
5 minutes ago, Numero Uno said:Are you really suggesting that a 25 goal per season midfield player was average? Wouldn't like to hear your opinion on our lot then............they'll be lucky to finish up on 25 career goals......between the lot of them!!
I’ll say he was above average. That’s about it.

If Everton going down busts the myth of Lampard as a decent manager it’ll be worth it. Average player even worse manager.

It may not be clear at all times, but Pearson is getting this team to play some good football, and we look a more solid unit.
The front 3 are a product of evidence of what Nige has contributed in his time here. Consistency with selection has been a positive factor, allowing each individual to understand eachothers strengths. Today's first goal is a reflection of that. Semenyo, Martin and Weimann all played a part in the goal.
Year 1 complete, now time for the next stage of progression to begin.
I'm really looking forward to the summer. We will operate within limited resources, but I have faith that Nige already has targets in mind.
Up the City!!!
Possibly. But it feels Like we’ve been here before under Pearson. Signs of something building but then it all just disappearing. Let’s hope he can get us more consistent.

He certainly was. Used to play in the Crown in Welton. Think that pub's gone now.
RIP Mike. A gentle giant in many respects.
Crown has been gone for many a year.
