I think the linesman running the Lansdown side had a new flag & just wanted to show it to everyone !

He also fist pumped at one point when we got a free kick. Not sure if he was happy with the decision or just celebrating the ref getting something correct.

That article doesn't mean Brentford received any local authority support. It actually meant Brentford had to make a financial contribution to the local authority.

As per the report... "Section 106 of the Town & Country Planning Act requires landowners and developers to compensate a local planning authority for things it must build--such as roadways--because of a proposed development. Aspects of S106 agreements include financial contributions towards highway works, town center, education, and maintenance payments for things like affordable housing and public open space."

I think (and I've not fully read the article) that if it changes to 5 subs, and let's be honest, it will, then it should be restricted to 3 changes plus an additional at HT if that makes sense? So can change 5 players but have to make the changes in a maximum of 3 stoppages during 90 mins game time

That's exactly what the proposal is.

Please all correct me if i am wrong?  Is our first team coach NOW Alex Ball who after making 1 first team appearance long ago, coached youth level at Southampton and City and had a spell at Bath City?  Surely in our current situation we need to bring in a quality coach to drill & organise a squad with no identity and no discernible consistent pattern of play.........and who are switched between 4-5-1  4-4-2 etc etc blah blah by a manager who seems not to know his best line up or formation?   A manager who rarely if ever actually coaches our first team squad, but spends his time motivating and inspiring the first team, while humiliating young players by inappropriately substituting them after half an hour?

Sorry to drone on, but i am frustrated and concerned about what is currently going on at the club we support..........and with little or no communication to the fans who support the team through thin and thin, I am phecked off ? ? ?

You seem to be operating on the assumption that to be a good coach you need to have been a good player.

I saw this tweet from the former Aussie cricketer Jason Gillespie which sums up the naivety of that mindset.

It's not been said yet so here goes - jobs for the boys.

Actually I don't care, if he was already doing work here with the young ones, and Tins and Co thinks he can bring something to the team, then congratulations to him. Welcome back Mickey Bell.

As for the media department, getting it wrong once is an error. Getting it wrong more than once, is just unprofessional. I mean, it's not likr he has any history with the club at all is it

According to Ryan Morgan, they asked him and he said it's Micky.

I'm so confused we haven't played France yet according to the FA https://www.thefa.com/england/youth-teams/results and yet the official site says

    Confusing.

The England website has a match report - https://www.englandfootball.com/articles/2021/Oct/06/england-mu19s-france-match-report-20210610 - so looks like that fixture list is incorrect.

This article - https://www.englandfootball.com/articles/2021/Oct/01/Ian-Foster-names-England-Under-19s-squad-October-20211001 - says it was France yesterday, Mexico on Saturday and Belgium on Tuesday.

Why do we not have lady's playing at the gate more. Been seen them when at the gate as easy on the no.24 bus. But I not sure there any easy bus routes  to training ground.

Sorry my thought whilst unable to sleep

There will still be a handful of matches played at Ashton Gate.

Playing games at the HPC has replaced playing games at SGS Wise (or Twerton but not sure if fans were ever able to attend those due to Covid)

The club has arranged a special bus service to the HPC for match days to allow for easier access: https://www.bcfc.co.uk/travel/hpc-travel/

So they've got an agreed deal with marvel so no issue with the licensing.

They aren't actively promoting marvel because they've got a different sponsor on their shirt.

How is this advertising? If marvel were the official sponsors would they still quash it? What about every other sponsor? They are technically advertising.

Isn't it going to be related to the sizing? There are limits on the number and sizing of any sponsorship appearing on kits.

  9. Rooney in an interview with Sky Sports saying he learned of last night's developments by watching it on Sky. You'd think somebody from the board would have given him the heads up between the filing and the statement being released several hours later.

  10. EFL Statement:

    Quote

With confirmation from Derby County Football Club that they have filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators, the EFL can tonight confirm that the Club will be subject to an insolvency event under the terms of the EFL’s Regulations.

As a result, the Club faces a 12-point deduction.

Once the EFL has received formal notification of the application, the deduction will be applied.

The EFL will in due course engage in discussions with the relevant parties with the aim of achieving a successful outcome for the long-term future for the Club.

The League is disappointed with the comments made by the Club in respect of COVID lending facilities. The EFL entered into a debt raise to provide its Clubs with access to funds that would support them in dealing with the impact of COVID and, as with any loan, this was subject to a timeframe and eligibility criteria which Derby County was unable to meet.

So the Administration Team will be in effect selling the club as a League One club.  There’s little chance they’d get enough points (say 70) to offset a 21 point deduction.  The aim of any new owners will be to either try to get enough points to avoid minus 12 being carried into next season next season, so probably still need circa 60 points.  Tough ask.

Are you sure the 12 points could be carried over? That only appears to be possible if the deduction happens after the fourth Thursday in March from my reading of the EFL regulations.

How come Sky can show the goals from 3pm kick offs today? I didn`t think it was allowed.

Under the Uefa regulations, the 3pm blackout can only apply when at least 50% of the top 2 division matches are being played so there's no restrictions this weekend. That's also why iFollow can offer the game in the UK today.

Due to issues between the Supporters Club and the football club, it's being done online at the moment.  Usually raises around £800 per match I think - hopefully they'll get back to tickets being sold in person, at the ground.

On a similar subject, do you still have programme sellers wandering around outside the ground, or are they sold from kiosks?

    We don't sell programmes - they're now a free digital-only publication: https://robinstv.bcfc.co.uk/digital-matchday-programme/
