I think you are right. It would not surprise me if Bristol Sport had acquired the site at some point.
Bristol Rugby are progressing their own plans for a new training ground near ours at Failand (they were given planning permission in April) so I'd presume that would be the end of their usage of Clifton Rugby.

Are they building it with Lego?

What was it the Radio Bristol caller said? "Ground, ground, ground and they forgot about the team." Ah well.

They've got two away friendly games simultaneously. Thousands will be locked out at both games, obviously!

Ashes is on BT no? I have BT, refuse to get Sly. I'm sure he gets plenty of it through other avenues but I won't give any of my hard-earned to Murdoch if I can help it.
Yes, BT Sport have the rights to all cricket played in Australia including the forthcoming Ashes series.

I am sure this may have been discussed in the past 52 pages but, what on earth is going on with the cricket fixtures these days. I noticed this first last year, but this year seems worse. We have just had the best summer weather period in 41 years and yet there has hardly been a ball bowled. Gloucestershire are not due to play until Monday and that is after 17 days without a first team fixture of any kind, and yet they were trying to get games played in the middle of April Showers.
I really struggle to understand how clubs to afford to lose so much playing time in good weather, it seems to make no sense at all.Part of the reason for Glos's extended break is the extra County Championship fixture they play in July at the Cheltenham festival (July 9th-12th - it's the only CC match being played then).

Much of a muchness. 17th in the form table. Hardly pushing for the Champions league are we. And if after a 'good run' we find ourselves one point above the relegation zone, god help us if we hit another bad run.
So a link that shows us as 9th and 15th over the last 6 and 10 games respectively is now "17th". Eh?

The Ricoh was always a decent hunting ground for City.

Didn't you average 11K and 12K when you were last in League 1? - Just checked, and yep, In fact your average for the past 7 seasons has been 11.5K but here you are beating on like you get 27K every week.
Might be a bit relevant that for one of those seasons in L1 we only had 3 stands. And Bristol Sport didn't even provide us with a replacement tent.
And that "average" for the last 7 seasons appears to be made up. For the last 7 seasons, we've not had a seasonal average below 11,929 so 11.5k is impossible.

There has obviously been a big bust-up internally with Des Taylor following Pembo out on the same day, we'll probably never know what happened but it doesn't sound like it was a planned move.
Pembo turned things around for us before LJ came in, during the 6 games he was in charge the defence suddenly became miserly, I'm sure he will be missed. Some on here say as defensive coach he must bear some responsibility for the defensive problems we've had this season but LJ picks who plays and the tactics so I think that's a bit unfair. I'm sure Pembo won't be out of work for long.
The Des Taylor stuff was being discussed at the beginning of February. I'm not sure you can draw any direct connections between that and the Pembo events.

Staffordshire Police say...
"During the game some 30 Bristol Rovers supporters were ejected from the ground for a variety of offences including making racially motivated insults towards stewards."
"A steward reported being racially abused and as a result a 52 year old male was arrested for racially aggravated abuse."
"One 23 year old male has been arrested for the assault of an official."
"One match day official was arrested for assault of an away fan."
"One further arrest was made, a 52 year old male for the assault of a police officer."

Haven't you got bigger things to worry about than the goals in our game?
If it's important to you I was actually looking for Tin Plavotic's goal but that hadn't been uploaded yet so thought I'd give myself a moment to chuckle. Hope that meets with your satisfaction.

Can't read the twitter link above - assume it is similar to this?
Ah yes, the cropping doesn't help!
It's the RFU statement as per the Bristol Rugby site: http://www.bristolrugby.co.uk/news/rfu-releases-investigation-statement/

I do realise that there is more to being a professional player than the actual games, but seriously a 19 year old is jaded after about 20 games in 4 months give me a break!!
Before that Chelsea's US tour. Before that the summer England U19 tournament... etc.
LJ said at one point the longest break he'd had in something like 2 years was 3 days.

So a little smoking hut alongside a garden shed and just across from the overlap garden fence. Did Wael get a B&Q voucher for his birthday?
