I fear you`ll be proved correct - I`m resigned now to not getting back to AG this season. It`s the speed of everything and the constant one step forward and two steps back that`s making a mess of it all. Bristol may well be supposedly going back to Tier 2 but that could change in an instant if the figures do.

Well yes, thems the rules and have been for weeks and there is every likelihood that as soon as rules are relaxed, numbers will go up again if people aren’t sensible.

but nothing announced today has an impact on Boxing Day in Bristol

Personally I am more than happy that large parts of Kingswood/Patchway are classified as outside of the city.

As for Filton Avenue, that is the far North, all a bit too Gloucestershire/Gas for my liking..

No surprise it is in tier 3 then, (unhygienic lot).

Your thinking is so 1980s.  As a born and bred Kingswood boy and now a resident of north Bristol for the past 14 years, I can absolutely assure you there are as many city in these areas as there are rovers.

As for unhygienic, I’ll have you know I change my underwear at least once a week

Unfortunately we are in South Glos which had low figures before but was lumped into Tier 3 with Bristol and North Somerset because they shared the same City in parts but has now been separated as its infection figures are now higher. I presume that season ticket holders in South Glos will now be excluded from any ballot. To say that my boy is a little miffed would probably not cover it.

It’s ridiculous really considering they pulled Bristol/south glos and North Somerset together as a region when initially deciding on tiers as they are so intrinsically linked yet have now decided large chunks of suburban Bristol remain in tier 3!

perfect example is my old stomping ground, Kingswood. The black horse pub sits right on the boundary line and can now open up but a bloke living in a flat across the road cant go for a pie and a pint as he would be travelling across a tier!

Rovers have started to use the magnificent new training ground at Almondsbury and Mr Al-Quidi has just announced through his Instagram account (36 million devotees) that it is to be named “The Quarter”.

I understand this is because only a quarter of it will ever be finished.

Maybe the ‘quarter’ equates to how far he has got on his go fund me page

If this is true, and it could be as Ivan Toney is on the verge of a move away from Peterborough, then I would say the tweet is rubbish, as I wouldn't describe that as a 'fantastic move'.

Big plans to redevelop large areas of St Philips though.

After the University Campus, Arena Island, Silverthorne Lane developments the whole area will look very different.

Will be interesting to see how the stadium will be financed and how the planning application progresses - long way to go yet.

But all the developments are in the north of st Phillips surrounding the feeder, the fruit market area is and will continue to be for some time very much an industrial area.

Their nearest neighbours would be the dogs home (Dopey Darrell will be gutted) and a concrete plant......screed head, screed head!

I cannot find anything relating to a training pitch at this site. So no planning yet. I imagine the image is from an architect bidding for the the job or for a pre planning application.

The crest on the side of the building looks interesting???

You realise that’s an image of our new training ground building which would have been generated prior to the crest change......what’s this got to do with the sags application or lack of one?

Yep, national effort (apparently)- all got to do our bit.

Mind you a Tweet by Mark Kelly suggested we've done something similar but again, comms- nothing out there.

The stadium was opened up last week to support charity workers providing food to the homeless......it was put out on the stadium Twitter. Just because you don’t see it doesn’t mean it isn’t happening

"I am paying £20 quid each week to be pissed off, I can order a kebab for £2.99 from stapleton road if i want to be pissed off and will cost me far less."

Can you imagine what's in the kebabs? Don't even think about it.

I would imagine the “kebab” is a euphemism.......ya know what I mean :shifty:

Just read Birmingham City have sold their ground to the clubs owners and been given a 25 year lease to rent the ground back for £1.25 million pound a year

Sold for £22m so the suggested value of £25m for the Mem sounds about right assuming they are a similar size. I wonder what happens after the 25 years is up??

Yep, if you close your eyes they look almost identical

Quite like this new Rovers manager. Four games in charge and still yet to win a game.

Probably because he looks more like an assistant manager of 'Giovanni's Gentleman's Emporium' and more likely to give you a short, back and sides then actually coach you how to play football
