  1. Amazing what a byline cross can do for a striker…..
  2. I think his old man was a fairly regular itk poster towards the end of his time here
  3. He was a bit part player at the time that found he mojo later on, plenty to had a dig at Tinnion with but not that
  4. Think it was an injury, not a change for the sake of it
  5. Cornick signalling to the bench and gesturing to hamstring
  6. Have we just witnessed a miracle?? A Mehmeti goal?? Dear whatever omnipotent figure you might follow….
  7. I know he can lose his head, but I think he’s more than capable of a legal looking payback challenge. Going to be interesting watching that little match up in the 2nd half
  8. Naughty foot left on him. You can see why he was slightly incensed..
  9. Ah, so that fact that that we are not actually creating any clear chances or giving our strikers any form of service is actually not due to whatever style Manning is trying come up with, it’s actually down to the form of our strikers and TC in particular??? We don’t need to be stuffed by 4 or 5 a game at present, one or perhaps two goals against us (assuming we get lucky from a corner) would suffice for our opponents to get all 3 points at present. I’m not one for attacking the poster, but you’ve got to be somewhat delusional if you think that the concerns that are being manifested by a large number of posters on here of late are made irrelevant and not worthy of debate simply by a 21 year old striker not being in form…. I do admire your panglossian optimism however unfounded.
  10. It’s a forum of made up of seeming mostly unhappy punters, someone starts a thread with something that amuses / irritates / annoys depending of the previous results or interview / press article and people chose to read and interact. If the thread gets some traction then it flies, if there is no interest then it disappears. In the past the criticism has been player focussed and you could pick your scapegoat depending on the game, so we’ve had combinations of Tanner, O’Leary, Williams, Bell, Naismith, Cornick, and more recently Mehmeti even Dire as being the aim for people’s ire, now it’s Manning’s turn. Clearly some of it will be a lingering dissatisfaction arising from the way in which the previous manager was dispensed with, but some and I think this covers a lot of the recent posts (rightfully in my view) will be people who are pissed off with performances, tombola team selections, incoherent tactics and regimented 60 min substitutions. I'm not sure it’s fair to simply dismiss questions or opinions about Manning as some form of Daily Mail-esque Meghan Markle agenda, that’s the perks of being the manager / head coach of a club in a very poor run of form. I’m sure he’s got more important things to consider like selecting what player to play totally out of position to demonstrate his coaching genius than to read the thoughts of some “made-up-random-city-related name” anonymised account on the forum. The forum remains a place for people to vent and occasionally for there to be some interesting and thought provoking debate, and for me at this time Manning remains fair game.
  11. TBH I can see the OPs logic about getting beat, sometimes an ineffective and hopeless manager needs a game to but them out of their misery, 7-1 at Swansea is an excellent and appropriate example of this. That said with the run of games coming up, unless the club have already spoken to someone and got them primed, then there won’t be enough time to recruit a new manager and have them get any sensible work on the training ground to make any improvement on the mess that Plastic Pep has made to this squad and is unlikely to change any outcome, so I think the die has been cast with regard to us getting further into a relegation scrap. So it’s up to Manning and his wealth of experience in coaching academy U23s where results are irrelevant to get us out of this mess.
  12. Thank you for posting this, I forgotten about Reg Prescott. Funny as….. Kenny Everett was an underrated genius.
  13. It was noticeable that we upped our tempo in the last 10 mins yesterday and that brought about a bit more pressure and our offside goal. We do seem to be a better team if and when we play at a pace. Are elements of the way he wants his teams to play is that we mix that up a bit by keeping the ball at the back to drag teams forward and to lose their shape and then to “pounce” with pace? If that’s the case then the players are at fault and or are not capable of playing the way he wants them to, as evidently we are not doing that, there are no clever through-balls nor does anybody we put wide, apart from perhaps Pring and to lesser extent McCrorie, try to take their player on and get behind them. Arguably Cornick’s goal against Southampton and Conway’s at the London Stadium might be the best example of what Mannings style could achieve. My anger and frustration into where we are right now with the performances of late, the inability to adapt during games, and the evident removal of the unity that Pearson had instilled in this group of players (demonstrated by the finger point and arguing on the pitch yesterday) wants Manning unceremoniously kicked out of the door. My Sunday morning pragmatic head says what if there is merit to the style he wants to play should he be given the time, the players he needs to implement that, and be given budget that we apparently didn’t have when Scott was sold. The pragmatic me is not sure that sacking him now would have the desired effect, the toughest games we have remaining are bar Swansea the next 4 or 5, the club would struggle to get anyone else in of quality and they in turn would struggle to impose their style in that time frame which ultimately suggests we’d could have the same series of results, therefore why change now? Let the season meander out, Manning has a summer window, a preseason and 10-12 games next year to demonstrate he’s got the ability to get a team that is moderately successful in his mould, if not then change and we start all over again….
  14. Just listened to his post match. Players fault again, not brave enough. Where LJ used to measure the height of the grass pre game, Manning measures the gap under the bus to ensure that the players will fit when he chucks them under it.
  15. Think you should have a go at 6pm tonight rather than have night to think about it.
  16. One of the few times I 100% agree with you…
  17. At least they knew what they were doing to a man, we might of got beat by Cardiff at their place, but he had a banged up team putting in some sort of performance. This was just insipid back passing shit
  18. And so you should. I don’t know you but I will be immediately wetting the baby’s head with Gold, as I’ve wet the bed already. Congratulations my man…
  19. A fool and his money and all that. I strongly encouraged my son to put £50 on Cardiff to win at 16:5 last night, easy money.
  20. Manning, take your cones, behaviours, patterns, HPC pitch arrows, plastic Pep coaching handbook, Scott Twine and Mehmeti then get the **** out of this club. You truly are the most hopeless ***** of a manager. Hopelessly out of your depth.
  21. Playing better with pace, why has it taken 88 mins to work that out. So ******* angry about this clueless ***** of a head coach
  22. See the 5 year old in front of you that’s running around cluelessly fuelled up on Haribo, a bit like that without the running around…
