    You’re trying too hard.

    Trying too hard to what?

Having been at the game I think @Silvio Dante is absolutely bang on. If Manning has watched many of games this last few days (which I'd expect he would have) then the selection was an odd one.

Mehmeti did virtually nothing for the 60 mins was on bar force an error which should have won us a penalty shortly into the 2nd half when the QPR player fell over his own feet and grabbed the ball. That aside he was flat and offered no outlet, nor coukd he drop in receive, turn and drive at defenders.

When TGH came on Knight was able to do exactly that, and Bell along with Sykes stated causing them one or two problems.

  2. @JerrySLO please can you ask the powers that be to confirm where I can return three away tickets for QPR please?

Absolutely disgusted with this decision and time for Lansdown to sell up and get out of OUR club. And yes it is OUR club not Lansdown's because without attending supporters the club SL legally owns would not exist.

Glad for Max, he's really steady but also this stat shows he faces far too many shots, so we need to close players down more.

I think Onana had conceded 7 goals in the 9 shots he's faced in the past 7 games. Okay that's poor shot stopping, but also shows that United don't allow teams to get many shots away.

Forgive me but how does a percentage of shots on goal saved state show he's faced too many shots?

Been to The Venue a few times if you mean the New Cross one in 2017 to 2020. Tender to be on a Saturday night.

Seemed okay but I think they have cleaned up a bit, depends when you went. I know the security was pretty rigorous there.

In respect of The Venue, to my disappointment and that of some mates, I seem to recall going there in 2021..about 2 years ago to the week maybe- post Covid and finding it still had not reopened! Remained the case last time I was in the area too.

Never reopened and is now something else.

    Hi all,

I’m just seeking some advice. I’m currently in London and thinking about getting tickets to Millwall for my 6 year old and I. (We live in the US so it would be his first City game!)

Is this a good idea? Partly because it’s Millwall, but I was also wondering if away fans tend to stand up at the Den and if that makes it hard for a young’un to see?!

    Apologies for a random question!

I'm taking my 8 year old. If you fancy meeting up and sitting with another dad and his son drop me a DM.

I’m not saying it will be as I know Millwall don’t have that edge to them like they use too

but first home game of the season , full house playing against a team their fans have history with this could be a massive own goal by Millwall , I might be totally wrong even if city fans are very respectful of  the occasion but you can just imagine City getting a last minute winner ( not like us I know ) city fans celebrating no more than a few feet from them .

Or we could all be singing cuum by ya my lord swaying along together & swapping half & half scarves

It's the 'who are the ones being invited' and 'where are they sitting' that bothers me.

Presumably they are people who don't have season tickets (or why would they need an invite) and are they going to be the ones who are more likely to cause problems if things aren't going Millwall's way?

  7. Just spoke to a Millwall fan (I like in SE London who confirmed the away end will also have home fans in it as Millwall are 'inviting' home fans to the game as a celebration of their former chairman.

Looking at the spacing in the above photo it has disaster written all over it unless they are controlling who is in the stand with the away supporters.

    Interesting

    Was this down the pathway?

I wonder if the decision is done on a match by match basis?

I was told last year and the year before that the Met were far too busy with other high profile games (think spurs had a championa league of europa league game the year before last against psv or someone from Germany they were worried about causing trouble).

I too was at the Luton game. I spoke to 3 separate groups of Luton fans before the game. Was at least a dozen people and none of them had anything negative to say about Cornick. There’s no doubt about it though he’s been, on the whole, poor for us. I can’t see what he brings to the team at the moment. I certainly hope that changes and will be happy to be proven wrong.

I'll be happy if he proves people wrong for sure. I also struggle to see what he brings to the team and can't help but think he is a stop gap where we needed a body to fill the slot vacated by Semenyo until we have a chance to get the player we really want.

Thanks. Just out of interest who do you think has shown less?

(Disclaimer: due to work commitments , I haven't seen any of the Luton match, even highlights, but I understand he was rather more involved there than usual)

I was at the Luton game. He was absolutely awful. Ran around a bit (pretty slowly and with little to no acceleration), was 5 yards off of everything and was blowing out his arse after 20 mins.

He was trying I can blame a lack of effort so fair play to him on that front but either we've been sold a dud or he is wildly unfit.

Two Luton fans I spoke to after the game reckon he's been a dud for a couple of seasons and couldn't believe we took him off their hands for money.

    I like this ref

Defo not a pen for us

Tricky one..... Had the defender ran into the back of Martin and took the ball as he did think most people would be screaming for a pen.

As it happened both players jostling for it and he takes the ball and the player from a standing position.

But agree we'd have felt hard done by if the shoe was on the other foot.

Classic HNM tonight. Must be a pain in the arse to play against. He's constantly pressing and getting stuck in.

A fine pass to help setup the goal as well.

Wait a sec.... But he doesn't get assists according to some on here?
