There’s an option to add friend when you assign owners, so if you’ve got his details you should be able to add him. I got mine earlier, taking my Godson to his first away game. Hopefully it won’t scar him for life!

Imho this has been the third window in which a striker who can hold the ball up has been needed. We had Chris Martin who did a great job for us in 2021-22, but at the end of that season it was glaringly obvious he needed cover.

He’s now long gone, and hasn’t been replaced, the two home league games have shown how much we need that type of striker. With Nige’s interview earlier, I think it’s high time someone came out and explained exactly why there’s none of the AS money being reinvested, in this window anyway, back into the squad.

When interviewed by Geoff Twentyman at the end of last season, SL stated that what the football department makes, it can spend. There’s little chance of SL coming out and explaining the situation, so why not one of Phil Alexander, Jon Lansdown or Brian Tinnion on why we’ve brought a defender in on loan as our only signing since AS’s departure?

I’m certainly no fan of SL, indeed I’m one of many people who’ve found themselves blocked by him on Twitter, however I’m very wary of who comes after him. Watching Mission To Burnley on Sky was a real eye opener, absolutely not the sort of people I’d want running my club. 

Middlesbrough’s most famous son, the late, great Brian Clough, was a passionate Yorkshireman!

I for one would love to hear Steve Coppell’s take on his time with us. I’d also love to hear from Cotts too, especially regarding some of the rumours about recruitment back in the summer of 2015.

Certainly is better to produce something which has some collectible value, rather than a tatty leaflet which would likely be thrown in the bin or worse at the players! Probably better for the environment also to produce lower quantity of a quality product over high volume of a poor product.

 

Speaking of which, does anyone remember that Cardiff game where they gave out a free “programme”? It was utter crap, basically a leaflet. Plus we got absolutely pumped. No wonder so many ended up on the pitch. 

Yep I remember that, the touch line in front of the Dolman was littered with them before the end of the game.

RIP Chris, I was lucky enough to meet him when he was signing his autobiography in the old club shop. A bona fide City legend not just for being a fantastic player, but also for being one of the Ashton Gate 8 that we all owe so much to.
