cheese
Last season's top scorer - Jevons - leaves the club; This season's top scorer - Byfield - leaves the club Maybe it's a tradition, whoever scoreds the most gets kicked out - no-one wants to leave and so no-one want to finish as top scorer!!! Just a thought :noexpression:

easton boy
Sorry, but when our top scorer had 8 I cant be that upset. 100% agree. Also when our top scorer puts in inept performances towards the end of the season when we should be pushing on, I can't be that upset.(NOT that I am blaming him for promotion "failure") Nice bloke, but he was never here for the long term. Maltshoveller
we don't score many because if we play 4-4-2 our midfield is to lightweight and gets over ran if we play 4-5-1 we don't have a forward who can play up on his own

Just a thought :noexpression: It's not recent either. 72-73 season we got rid of John 20 goals a season Galley and replaced him with Bobby Gould! cheese
It's not recent either. 72-73 season we got rid of John 20 goals a season Galley and replaced him with Bobby Gould! Obviously a tradition then. Didn't realise we'd brought on Gould so early in the 70's.
