Meteb's agent seems like the worst man he could have representing him, definitely some bad, bad advice somewhere along the line. Would like to see him get his act together at this late stage and do everything he can to get Meteb here, I understand how pissed off GJ must be, but would still signing him really mean he loses the respect of the dressing room? If so, then the control he had over it can't have been that strong in the first place, plus it's not like he is dealing with little kids, it's 20+ grown men who want to do all they can for the manager and the team! The player did pick up an injury or is this press release meant to kill the deal stone dead? How can you do buisness with these muppets? Spud55 Posted July 24, 2008 Report Share Posted July 24, 2008 What I mean is that the contract begins on 21 July The match was in July 20 Yes but you don't risk playing a player you are about to sell in a game no matter how big, it would be like Man U selling Ronaldo to Real Madrid but saying oh he has to play in the manchester Derby before he comes, Real would tell man U to do one and that would be that and Ronaldo is the best player in the world. Emad is a striker with everything to prove, we are taking a risk on him as nobody else is prepaired to do, outherwise there would be offers out there, but clearly every big club in Europe is steering well clear, which either means he isn't all that good, or they don't think he's worth the hassle. At the end of the day if Meteb wants to play in a poxy league for the rest of his carear then thats his choice, just he will spend forever being considered not as good as Zaki, Mido, Ghaly etc. thats his choice. Nobody takes any notice of players international records unless they play in Europe or South america, as frankly most of the african nations are dreadful and any half decent striker can score goals playing against the most of the african nations, put a top class striker in an african side at his peak and they will score for fun, put Sheva at his best in the egyptian side he'd score an absolute bucket load of goals, and make Meteb and Zaki look poor. If meteb has any ambition as a footballer he will make sure this deal happens, as we are the only club in Europe prepaired to take a risk on him, and if this move gets stuffed up then he will stay at Ahly for the rest of his time playing.
